I can't seem to get enough of watching Marty Robbins sing. He's so animated; never just standing there, as the others do.

A shame they did not make an album or two together as a trio. This is good harmony by three greats of true country music (and just think, no drums were used to drown out any part of this recording!!!)
@CrazyForMarty13 жыл бұрын
i read Marty's twin sister's book and she said Marty and her learned how to dance together, and they were quite good. she said they entered dance contests and they won quite a few times !!! I think Marty was really taking over the dance floor here !!!

June and Carl were married here, and she didn't marry Johnny Cash until 1968, long after he returned from Air Force. She had another marriage in between Carl and Johnny. After June and Carl divorced soon after this, Carl married Goldie Hill (the blond he dances with at the end). Great clip! Thank you! Carl is still alive

I love this clip! First saw it a couple of weeks ago when I visited the Country Music Hall of Fame in Nashville; they show it on one of the big screens upstairs not too far from Webb's Cadillac. It was a surprisingly good day out (thought it might have been a bit tacky!). Been digging around lookin' for Webb Pierce stuff ever since! Ian, Liverpool, UK

Great vid!!! 3 Legends! Makes me worry though, 50 years from now who will we look back on as musical giants? I hope not anyone around in Nashville today (save for Alan & George Strait, and maybe Josh Turner). I hope these guys (and The Possum, Faron, Buck, Merle, etc) stay THE Legends & we just wipe the majority of the last 30 years off the record. On a lighter note, I always find it really interesting to see June, Carl, & Goldie together in these. Especially Carl dancin' wt Goldie, lol

about the only one around today thats worthy enough to call themselves country is hank jr...who gives a shit about tims kids missing the bus or another broken heart by teeniebopper taylor swift....what we need is another outlaw...R.I.P. Waylon
@Flint316212 жыл бұрын
Country music today isn't dreadful; if, that is, you ignore the crap that comes out of Nashville. I wish the XM station Cross Country was still on, but the current Outlaw Country is better than the Nashville crap. Try listening to some of the Texas artists like Brian Burns, Tommy Alverson, Bruce Robison, Kelly Willis, Charlie Robison, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Guy Clark, Billy Joe Shaver, Houston Marchman...there are so many more! Especially listen to Tom Russell...the man knows how to write a song!

What was going on with marty's audio? What a once in a lifetime opportunity, ruined by a bad audio. Also, looks like he might have forgotten the lyrics too.
