I think they both look great! I'm a fan of both watercolor and the more opaque gouache, so student grade paint is fine by me. I can tell the Prang leans toward chalky, but it just gives the painting a different look. 🌻👍 The Winsor and Newton is lovely with its transparency and luminousity✨💕

Cheap or expensive watercolours does not matter...the important things that affects your work is by how you apply it and whether you like it or not..and that is why i used cheap watercolour as a beginner myself ..love your work as always😀😀😀😀

Which one did you prefer using? I think the Prang’s colors turned out more pleasing, but how easy they are to use effectively is only known by you!

Prang has semi-moist paints so it’s easy to use. Winsor and newton has a good color range and more transparent so suitable for layering an artwork. 😁

I think prang lifts a lot and leaves a weird textured but they also run out pretty fast I think, the case is really sturdy though I use it for other watercolors now heh heh
