This entire episode is just iconic. The raisin ageism, tying it to women, this salad as a metaphore for life, a party, a personality, the communal spoon story....I love everything about it.

i love how Carla goes on a completely unhinged metaphysical tirade about the salad and somehow everybody's here for it. I just can't stop watching her videos. They make my day!

Isn't it strange that plums and grapes received new names for their dried state of beings.... but everything else is just dried (fruit name) . When I'm aged and have some wrinkles I hope they don't plan to give me a new name. On another note why is it that we can bake a potato but not roast a loaf of bread?

I used to be anti-raisin but I have come around in the past couple of years. I still really dislike them in sweet foods (NO to oatmeal raisin, NO to raisins in carrot cake!), but in a savory dish? Surprising, uplifting, gorgeous.

And then the reader can select KZbin t watch that recipe being made as well as have the book Thank you for the entertaining and informative low ingredient recipes
