*Horimiya* is one of my favourite Shounen Romance series (up there with Ancient Magus Bride & Your Lie in April) Altho when it comes to Romance anime, i genuinely love Shoujo titles (like Fruits Basket, Kimi Ni Todoke, Orange etc.) & Light Novel Adaptations (like Bunny Girl Senpai, Oregairu, Violet Evergarden) the most 🗣️

You guys already picked up on some of my favorite things about this show: 1) that they get to share sides of themselves that no one else gets to see and 2) that the characters are wonderful about communication and sidestep a lot of rom com tropes in the process by having healthy communication and boundaries. Those are two reasons why Horimiya is one of my favorite romance animes!!

Sweet! I've been waiting for you guys to start posting these reactions! Your OP cover for this is awesome as always Ange! It's funny, because for me, I actually grew to love Horimiya more after I watched season 2, The Missing Pieces. Season 1 is pretty amazing by itself and works fairly well to show the characters and their relationships, but I do think some things are rushed. Mainly after like episode 6 or 7 was where things started to feel really rushed to me. So, I just love how season 2 fleshes things out a bit more. Plus, I think there's even more comedy in season 2, which I was mostly fine with, because I was laughing a lot every single episode. I do hope y'all are gonna watch Missing Pieces as well. 17:03 😂 This was hilarious, hearing y'all talk about stuff with your relationship is fun. Great reaction guys, loved it!

Horimiya is definitely one of my favourite rom-com, light hearted animes. Some other similar kinds I'd recommend are Fruits Basket, Natsume Yuujinchou (both of which have many seasons and they're amazing!), or if you're alright with more older shoujou rom-com, then Kaichou Wa Maid Sama. All in all, I'm so damn excited that you're starting Horimiya! Hopefully you get onto the other seasons and even the recent ones which is like a short season filled with all of the missing stories ^^
