Thank you so much for the wonderful presentation and commentary on this genius architect . I suspect the people with the masks who gathered to clean the monument have no idea who Carlo Scarpa is. They are probably relatives of the victims of that massacre in Brescia in 1974 or activists. It's a nice dream, though, to imagine that art defies politics .

What other architect would wear eye-glasses like that? .... well, nearly all of them, Corb and everyone else who thought that by looking like Corb, it would give them the power of 'design', a 'second sight', or perhaps just a first site?
