Its a bit of a Spoiler in later books but its a bit miltifaceted in the Movie, In the Books, Paul saw basically the End of Mankind with his visions and he now sees that basically the only way he can Prevent that is by following a specific set of Events called "the Golden Path" and in true Dune Fashion its not gonna be Pretty as he needs to make Morally qustionable decisions to do so, The Movie expands on this by showing that Paul also really Doesn't have a real Choice, it was either Die with his Adopted People (not commanding all of the Fremen and be ineffective and eventually be defeated) or become a Dark Messiah that will kill Billions (saving his people but also Destroy his Morality completely at least in the Movie, Apparently Book Paul is much more pragmatic about it).

How are they going to get Chani to come back to paul and have the twins also at this point she should have lost their first child?

This guy is shocked Villeneuve didn’t want a corny post-credits scene in his movie?

New to the dune universe. It did feel like dune 2 was trying to fit in a lot of story

Just saw dune 2...it was interesting...need to watch it again. Last Paul seems a divided messiah

He's afraid of control and what could happen. Mainly cause of his visions. He's afraid of what he might become.

@thomasoflaherty3520 it was a great movie. It's a saying.."you can't be everything to everybody, in stay true to yourself" Paul seems to be everything to his, mother, father, prophecy, in so forth. But he lost out on the love of his life, who is chani. But best movie of the year! So far

He was always a reluctant messiah in Herbert's books. In Children of Dune, he returns only to destroy his own legacy.

Dune 2 is going to be a cult movie and a movie of a decade it’s a sign that movies don’t need super heroe movies and dumb remakes
@christopherlyndsay86118 ай бұрын
Technically this film is a remake.
@GotoMaki4Micah8 ай бұрын
its just another remake and it's for the trendy 'modern audience,' which makes it worse.
@michaellparra73358 ай бұрын
@@GotoMaki4Micah it’s not a remake hahaha

@@christopherlyndsay8611 its not you know the book came about in the 60s right
@christopherlyndsay86118 ай бұрын
@@michaellparra7335 yeah, and you know that they already made a Dune film before these 2 right? It’s still technically a remake of an adaptation.

Frank Herbert was a brilliant writer, he drove character development. Today's Hollywood writers absolutely and categorically reject character development and try tu use petty emotions to motivate characters. That's why every movie feels like an episode of Dr. Phil Unlike writers of the past who understood that great pressure created diamonds,.today's writers wish things into existence with feelings. The cgi was great tho

WHY No rain at the end like the original movie ? why no guild steersmen ? wheres harah ? why lasgun used even when shields all around ?

Not everything is shielded, so Lasguns still have a place.
