They grew up together as teenagers on a tennis court, same DNA. They also anticipate each other's drop shots very well. Main difference is Carlos is more decisive in important moments and has fewer unforced errors.

@@johnj1573 Novak only won his first GS at 20 years 8 months, Alcaraz already won 2 GS at barely 20 years old. Alcaraz is already so much better than Novak was at the same age. If you want to compare play styles, Alcaraz has the creativity, net play and aggressivity of Federer, always wanting to close the point, the power and grit of Nadal (and even a better forehand with top-spin), and Novak's defense. Oh, and I forgot to mention Murray's lob. And nobody has the drop shot like Alcaraz has.

Great, intense practice. To me it felt like though that Rune was at maybe 80-90 % and Alcaraz about 10 % below that. It seemed like Rune really wanted to win this practice set, while Alcaraz was more relaxed and playful. Rune is competitive in terms of power as well as athletic and overall technical ability. Alcaraz is far superior when it comes to consistency, the mental game and shot selection/decision making. But this will be a great rivalvry in the future, as Rune is a fast learner, although his learning curve isn't as steep as Carlitos'. These two together with Sinner will probably be the dominant players of the next decade.

Hopefully not. Most people would prefer the standard angle. The "court level angle" people are a very loud crowd, so they make it seem like they're a large chunk of Tennis fans, but they're not, nowhere near in fact. Y'all are just a loud minority.

I guess you have no idea about analyzing tennis, more often than not, there are more unforced errors in competition, because of the stress and the higher intensity, just watch the first set Alcaraz vs Djokovic in Rolland-Garros, but there maybe less unforced errors on crucial points, where they often can raise their level of play.

They try out some things like rune tried to destroy a few backhands that went in the net. And he tried to go for big returns, not safe ones, which went out a whole lot here, just to name a few examples.

@@hsy2448 No game has more intensity, from the perspective of your own level. Maybe before the game, but once the game is started, all top games are all the same, you need to win. I totally agree that they may commit unforced error for different reasons in a training match, but "substantially" more, I am not sure about that at all. An unforced error happens when the automation goes wrong, maybe you tried something special, or you were specially under pressure, or you were not concentrated, it is still an unforced error.

Small mistake - that drop shot 11-22 Carlos won the point 6-5, then he misses his backhand on a matchpoint to the net 6-6. Great to see this guys in action on a hard court

TennisTV being a streaming service for the enthusiast, offering that angle as an alternative to the traditional one could definitely encourage more tennis fans to subscribe! Especially when that angle is unlikely to be offered consistently for grand slams' scattered coverage across providers.

It is because that angle only offers 10% of the information you get via the regular angle. You don't see how close to the lines shots are, or how deep, you don't see the ball effects well, and you can't appreciate the tactical dimension in the game geometry. The angle is good for replays to give a second view of the same game sequence, but if this were the only view, I would feel ripped off.

Carlos I think is perfectly fine experimenting with shot length and effects to push his own boundaries during practice, but when it comes to being clutch in competition he can tighten his game and close out because he has gathered all of the neuro-metric impulse data.

Why Alcaraz is my favorite 3:08 Alcaraz is returning and is served down the tee looks out in real speed, slow it down and its questionable but still looks like it was probably out. He gives the point to Rune anyways losing his BREAK POINT! Now lets put Rune in the same position 4:14 even in real time it looks good.
