I saw the Ed Sullivan show in a TV when The fab 4 came on, but I was also in the Sam Goody recordstore when Santana's first LP can in to the shop, and I bought it took it to a territory where nobody had every heard of the Master! and so was it for couple of years until we got to see the Woodstock concert that had been held that summer of 69. And after I had put my new Santana LP on my player I was sold! There was a new direction in music that fell so well with me, since I played the drums. Anyway to make a long story short, I once was in Framkfurt and guess who was in town that same weekend as I was there? Oh yes Carlos and his friends were having a concert in town, but that was not all oh no Carlos and his band were staying at the same hotel as me (WOOO) who could believe that? But since I had involved music most of my life I knew and had met Carlos bassist at this tour, but that was the great Alfonso Johnson who I had met in Hollywood few years earlier and he remembered me so he invited me and my collieges who I was working with in Frankfurt. Yes I was invited to the V.I.P. after party that turned out to be the just some chatting and listening to some Bar piano player at the Hof hotel

"Song of the Wind" (from the Santana LP Caravanserai) makes me feel like I'm flying. Listen to that, then listen to the guitar solo on the Stones' "Time Waits for No One"...which was recorded afterwards. You'll see how generous a spirit Carlos Santana has by virtue of the fact he didn't sue them for plagiarism.

I always wondered about this guy his music seems pretty powerful in the way he has reach so many with his music for it has a lot of energy yet his personality seems calm like he would rather have peace and love in life. I couldn't disagree with him but people in general live their lives as push back as revenge people are vindictive, you cant trust them, even if you can trust some,no matter their skill level or how good they seem to show ,their emotions will take over,it's jealousy,it's uncertainty, there is no honesty, people lie over and over, never really committing to anything,of all the things they could make in their lives, they just would rather live in fantasy and lie then to really wanna help, money has ruined a life full of adventure for people, because everything is a business it's about making money when it comes to people offering their service they just lie to them,it's all about self entertainment for people at the end of the day, because they lack the coping skills, the ability to having empathy, to make an agreement,to commit to anything, because of fear but they wanna feel as if they are in control 100% and so nothing gets done,no one can help them, people are selfish.

Latin music certainly is descended from African music Carlos, but it's not African music and it's an insult to the Hispanic influence to say so. If it was just African music, then Cuban music or Puerto Rican music would be the same as African music, and it certainly is not.
