Jones before the match: Its time to test my dragon against the world champ. Lets make history. Jones at the time of magnus blunder: OMG! he blindered! I am piece up. There will be tales of Jones destroying Magnus with dragon. My students will finally pick up dragon. Its the beginning of new dragon era. Jones after some time: the world champ is preety good. may be he will draw. So there will be tales of mighty Jones making world champ struggle to get a draw with his dragon. Jones after resigning: After all world champ is a world champ. May be ppl will still acknowledge me and my dragon for keeping magnus piece down for most of the time. Jones next day reads headline: Magnus humiliates Jones and his dragon by giving piece odds. lol!

In the queen trade position around 23 minutes can't black move the knight to C3 check and win a rook for a knight?

Daveron RS black just takes the white queen as the knight in e4 was the only defender no?

White's queen is on G1, if we're talking about the queen exchange position at 23:15?

Daveron RS I'm talking a bit before that I guess. 22:30 he's discussing lines from the position.

After Carlsen pushes the pawn to g5. Black should be able to play the knight line I said I believe.

More like it was a calculated blunder but a blunder nonetheless. He knew he will be going a piece down but still played it bcoz he will have "SOME" compensation and the resulting position will be complicated and extremely tricky.

Calculated blunder ??? What a stupid theory... There can be calculated sacrifice , but calculated blunder ....funny. Some ppl try to be too smart for their own good...He didnt continue because he WILL have some compensation, but because after blunder he HAD some compensation.... Only an idiot would blunder on purpose at such a big event... and bigger one would think it was "calculated".... Today, everyone who can move a pawn, thinks he can comment GM moves and understand it better than others...ppl r stupid. Carlsen himself said it was horrible blunder... and u smartass say it was calculated blunder... R u for real ?

whats a "calculated blunder" is it calculated? or a blunder? In the interview he said that it was an embarrassing mistake on his part and said that he didn't want to resign right away! He argued to have some sort of minor compensation but still he had a horrible position after that

Carlsen said after the game that it was a blunder. And I think that is fairly obvious. Josh even says it during the video.

The World Champion blundering a piece and a GM losing being a piece up are no good for chess. Entertaining game though.

You're remarkably ignorant if you thought GM's didn't occasionally blunder pieces.

So your advice for aspiring players is to blunder a piece every game and hope they still win?
