I’m praying that my NYK’s get the chance to draft Jaylon Tyson. He plays either Wing position, and we are in need of Wings.

Do people make the Ant comparison for Collier? I feel like theirs enough similarities there to make him a lottery pick. Ant in college averaged only 29% from 3 compared to 34 for collier. Similar body type. Defensive upside, number one scoring option upside. He’s got the tools

As good as Rob Dillingham, Reed Sheppard, and Jared McCain are, they’re just so small that they’re going to be liabilities defensively. It makes it really hard to justify drafting them as high as they are mocked on boards
@stilldre2475 ай бұрын
All 3 of these guys have the potential to compete at the level of or better than Fred VanVleet (6’1). Worst case you get Payton Pritchard. I think these guys will be fine
@CarloBarlo695 ай бұрын
@@stilldre247 i’ve seen a lot of people throw the “worst case you get Pritchard” narrative around, but the truth is Pritchard was a significantly better ball handler, and a very experienced creator, even when he was leading his team in college at Oregon. And Pritchard, as amazing as he is now 6 years later, he’s STILL barely getting any minutes on a winning team because he’s too small and a defensive liability. For a potential top three pick like Reed Sheppard, It’s really risky. Especially in today’s NBA where defense & size is everything.
@Abdul95Rachman5 ай бұрын
Sheppard & McCain are taller than Maxey (& still growing). Maybe it's still difficult to defend forwards, but they are good defenders. BTW, they can dunk.
@bkelly6255 ай бұрын
@@stilldre247 Fred VanVleet is an incredible defender… Maybe Reed can come close to that but it won’t happen for Dilly and McCain which is why they will probably go lower than Reed

Collier is better than Castle at least offensively, its a shame he is so underated this dude is actually elite and see him being one of the best if not the best guard in this draft
@smoothhoops37395 ай бұрын
I think Leif is under rating Reed as a creator. He simply wasn't asked to take 10 dribbles and run the offense because of his stacked roster. But whenever he did go off the dribble he still had great efficiency. Not to mention his 2/1 Assist to turn over ratio

Castle is so much more of a functional NBA athlete than Isaiah Collier it’s more than just size. And I know this might sound crazy to ppl who overvalue combine measurements and high flyers but he’s also a better athlete for the NBA than Andre Jackson Jr. just so much smoother and obviously more skilled…. he reminds me of young Jimmy Butler

Knect or Sheppard would look in Utah
@jackieellis82675 ай бұрын
Thulin is high on Knecht, Scheirman and now Carrington while belittling size, defense and shot opportunities of Sheppard and dismisses his record setting analytics, BBIQ and intangibles as a true freshman not considering his other attributes that will most likely improve with properly acquired training and coaching staff. Not saying he's going to be a super star but is as worthy of a high draft prospect as many others. Would love to have a hidden camera in his little Jazz studio if Reed would get selected by Utah...which is a possibility.. his facial expressions and choice of words would be comical and bittersweet😆😅

what boards are you guys talking about? Fellow podcasters? You aren't privy to team's boards. For all you know all the guys that were thought of as the top guys before the season (Holland, Williams, Collier) are still and always have been at the top of boards that matter. You can't rise if you were never low to begin with. These narratives are all in your heads lol. It's your fault for ever having these guys low
