Best I've heard from you regarding Carlton's needs and you really took on board our comments ...l'm so glad that you understand that we don't need accumulators as much as talent w explosive pace out of the front of stoppages... Who can spread and take advantage of the contested Beasts like Cripps , Hewitt.& Cerra.. And even help Sam Walsh who can play more as a receiver as well if he has someone running as quickly with him to give and go in the threatening attacking chains to run at the opposition defenses and not allow them to sit back and intercept in front of our two star key forwards....Hence Draper is perfect for us at Pick 3 ...with FOS being the other one who can do this so as to balance our midfield

I'm not sure why anybody compared to FOS to Walsh. The only thing they have in common is that they are midfielder and second cousins. They play completely differently.

North has said no to Adelaide for pick 4 & 2 future 3rd round picks, I think it will come down to how much Richmond wants pick 2 over pick 6

Richmond apparently rejected the offer from North, who want to improve their draft hand (2, 62) because there’s a good chance Tauru is still there at pick 6. I think 6 and 18 for pick 2 and a future 1st will get done on draft day if anything. (6 and 10 or 11 is overs when you’re the team that is calling other clubs)

Would be spewing if we took jagga over Draper and FOS. Jagga is an accumulator that doesn’t prioritise driving the ball forward which is something we already have in abundance. Draper and FOS provide that point of difference in the midfield that we don’t have.

I’m in the FOS or Sid camp, but I can see the logic behind recruiting Jagga. Walsh played his best year in 21 ahead of the ball. We also all saw how good he was in our prelim run in 23. Walsh is wasted as an accumulator.

I'd say it's more about covering all bases and due diligence. Fos is not the same player as Walsh, and he has some serious weapons that the blues need. Draper is certainly ready and breakaway speed is something they don't have. Drapers ball use is a bit of a concern Dow had breakaway speed, but his ball use let him down. I am not saying Draper will be the same, it's just an interesting comparison . There is a lot of ducks and drakes going on for north's second pick. If adelaide are desperate to get home grown draper, and they think the blues will take him, they may up there deal. That way pick two doesn't go to another club who might take Fos. Each club will have plans and contingencies, but I do think the blues if given a preference will take Fos

@@craigcombridge6353 it’s more than a worry mate that’s the problem pick 1 you pick the best🤦🏻‍♂️ I totally understand at pick 6 though. That’s why north wants to go down from the pick 2. I’d also want to know who actually would even want Lalor to? Because north want Tauru. I don’t see Carlton wanting him? What about Melbourne? But that still means we get Jagga or smillle/langford? Like that’s a massive win there. I just can’t see the logic of picking him at 1. I think more clubs are interested in FOS/DRAPER as there been touted as best for few years. We will mess it up. We are forgetting about our actual team. What is needed young leader is crucial as 6 draftees in. As everyone can clearly see we don’t have a leader no hence why the co captains. but we did this with Cotchin young bled him into changing our culture. That’s how players evolve to and culture is huge most of these draftees have the ability. All have different flaws. But as for us now we need a lot. Give yze help… that’s not helping him picking Lalor at 1 and everyone’s argument is upside? But FOS has even more they gotta realise his not dusty they compared wrong player that’s created this nonsense.

@@craigcombridge6353 Yeah Lalor in this draft pool is honestly round smillie Langford rang after the 3 big ones that we desperately need. Best outcome but our supporters are sleeping on it and not realising. FOS/DRAPER but won’t happen unless trade for 2 off north. Reasons. Picked top 2 best players ones also captain material. Ones also biggest upside. Both have freakish attributes. That we do not have as a club. Other is FOS/Smith But you’re banking him to get to pick 7. I not sure if that’s going to happen. If was take that option be the best. The flaws on smith are just can he play another role from Midfield cause his gunna need upsizing/ will he be able to play a role outside the middle. Sort of like Cotchin did at times through his career. There’s no doubt his a natural footballer with some freakish slippery movement. I could see him being our future captain tbh. Also believe tigs supporters would love him. My ideal world would be 1 FOS 6 Smith. wouldn’t be against 1 FOS 2 Draper either. Suits our needs also.

@@centrehalfbench7it does a little bit. Murphy Reid’s stock has dropped after saying he wanted to be picked by a Melbourne club, and JHF showed what can happen. That said Draper appears super professional but could still opt for a trade a few years down the line.
