Antho Johnson Loved that ground and the AFL needs a new one but alas the resident are annoyed at the noise it makes i mean who knew having a house near a footy oval would get the occasional noisy night

That first pic is of the old cricket club pavilion that was relocated from the (Carlton CC's) triangular ground to Princes Oval in 1897. It was there until at least the 1930s. Anyone have any more info on the pic?

Bring back Princes Park Victoria Park The Junction Oval Moorabbin Oval Western Oval Windy Hill VFL Park and the Lakeside Oval and bring back South Melbourne and Fitzroy they could made major renovations to these grounds like new grand stands and more seats and lighting

WHY was it closed down? Ian Collins was the President of Carlton at the same Time he was the CEO of Etihad Stadium. No conflict of Interest there.

they had a variety of grounds but none permanently enclosed & no long-term tenure. Played at Royal Park, the University, southern end of Princes Park & even the MCG from 1864 to 1896.

they did upgrade it, that's what sent Carlton nearly broke when the league decided to go with docklands instead.
