Thank you so much for your Video. I am the daughter of a once high achieving opera singer and struggling with severe lyme and CFS and nervous system disregulation and relapses . I was once also was pushing me and high achieving (guilt of my family, unhealthy patterns sadly etc. And unhealthy stress), and now also see it as the opportunity to finally heal of it all since 2020 my most severe relapse. Thank you so much for your views and suggestions. I need to rest and find myself again and let my body heal finally. Wishing you and everyone all the very best.

Love this story. Very inspiring to us who are struggling. I was a competitive amateur boxer / Jiu Jitsu player in peak physical shape...Health suddenly crashed in 2020....Carlys point about acceptance is spot-on. As a trained fighter, I woke up everyday ready to FIGHT lyme & got nowhere...Now making progress after focusing on calming nervous system....Just starting to figure this puzzle out, so thank you! Wim Hoff is breathing amazing BTW!

(This is Carly from the video. I'm not an active youtuber) I totally relate to that desire to *fight.* Ultimately, I learned that was just scaring my body more. So glad you are beginning to figure out your puzzle! Best wishes to you!

Thank you both so much for taking the time to share Carlys amazing story. I had a real good cry when she mentioned what Nicole Sachs said about the stress of the tension between where you are and where you want to be. I think this must be my body saying...yes please to letting go of that!! Big hugs xx

First time here on this channel but lots of recovery stories listened to by now.. Carly's story though brought some vitally important insights to me that I'd not had before and for that I'm so grateful. My nervous system thanks you so much!

Great interview. I love your interviews so much and watch one every day! I really appreciate the fact that you didn't edit out the part where she talked about her air hunger. I think it is good for us to know that it can be a gradual process and even though you may be 95% better at some point, you might still have a few lingering symptoms that hang on for years and that's okay and we don't have to fear that. So thank you for this.

It's the one that comes with the book Getting into the Vortex by Esther Hicks. I had to get a little CD player on amazon. It's specifically about letting go of resistance, which really helped me when things were rough.

Thank you both 🙏Carly, do you feel like your PEM/crashes after exertion were due to the lyme or due to the nervous system stuff?
@cyt3633
@cyt3633 2 жыл бұрын
I think the PEM was nervous system rooted, but the Lyme and all the other pathogens in my body were contributing to keeping my nervous system in that state. Borellia, the bacteria that causes Lyme disease, doesn't have the control over the body, so to speak, to create those crashes. The nervous system controls the functions that were affected in the post exertional malaise and other expressions of extreme fatigue. However, the pathogens in my body were part of what was pushing my nervous system into the state it was in. Therefore, my healing involved simultaneous support for getting the pathogens out of my body (biomagnetic pair therapy,) and nervous system re-regulation exercises to rebuild my nervous system's adaptability. Does that help? I go into even more detail on my website, if you are interested in learning more about my process

Can you share your letting go of resistance CD name?
@HealwithLiz
@HealwithLiz 2 жыл бұрын
It's the CD that comes with the book Getting into the Vortex by Esther Hicks, which contains 4 guided meditations (I listened to the one about wellbeing). The book and CD may be sold separately now. The book is awesome, too. The chapter about health was a little self blamey, but I focused more on the general message of the book, and appreciated the advice for how to deal with other people and conflicts. I also recommend Healing And Wellbeing Cards by Esther Hicks. It's a set of lovely flash cards with little self-love and letting go of resistance reminders. I know several others who love them, too. My favorite card is perhaps the silliest one in the whole stack and it says "I'm not here to fix things, I'm here for the fun."
