My birthday is in four days and my birthday wish this year is to have this video go viral. I would like to introduce you to a young teenager named Sam.
When he was offered a position to work at Starbucks Sam told his parents that for the first time in his life. That his life had real meaning. Sam was diagnosed with autism and like some people with autism Sam has a movement disorder. Sam has a hard time keeping his body still. Sam never thought that he would be able to work behind the bar because of his sudden movements but his manager Chris believed in him and got Sam to channel his movements into dance.
It has taken Sam and Chris a lot of shifts and hours to get Sam to do what he is doing in the video. Sam is now known as the dancing barista. If it wasn't for Chris believing in Sam he would of never believed in himself.
More people like Sam need to be seen, heard and given a chance to thrive and dance. Please show your support by sharing and reposting. Help make my birthday wish come true!

Life really gives me hope. Things like this should be viral especially to show the world that there are people there with great hearts and are willing to give anyone a chance to be who they want to be. Love this!

+Allyn Bernardo (leenbernardo) "give anyone a chance" Does this include those who have already gotten several? And what about people who is further disabled than this young lad? Also impractical with millions of people going for president. Lots of wasted resources etc. But this guy clearly has potential and the manager notices. And good PR too :) Win/win.

+andy mo Read the back story before you make such offensive pronouncements. This was a story of a person with Autism overcoming his fear. Nobody really cares what music is playing. It shows that Autism does not have to stop a person.

Employers and managers of businesses - please look to this as a model of creative solutions! Find a place on your staff for adults with special needs and let special education programs programs know. Then those programs can push their students towards a more fulfilling future, knowing they will have options once they transition out of the school system. Businesses often think they're limited in what adjustments/accommodations they can make, but can you think of anywhere more corporate than Starbucks? If this manager made it work, maybe you can too!

+emadshk Awesome video but I don't see any extraordinary talent or success at all to be honest.. why would he go on TheEllenShow, exactly? ..Let's be rational here. If he deserves to go on Ellen and get like $5000 donated to him or something for this... than I deserve $100,000+ and a paid vacation to the playboy mansion for 2 months. (I have my own story, won't explain via KZbin comment section). There are so many incredible unnoticed people out there; to pick this for Television broadcasting would be unrealistic. But nowadays, that's all the world is... so you never know xD (RANT OVER, I gotta get back to my fouseyTUBE videos.)

Aside from the dancing and in all seriousness; Did you see the precision and care he took to making the coffee? I wish all coffee employees took that kinda care! I'm not a gambling person, but I'm betting that coffee tasted damn good! Clearly, he is great at his job and it's got nothing to do with being on the autism spectrum! WAY TO GO SAM!!!👍🏻💗👍🏻💗

Sam has a job and gets to learn various skills and responsibilities; customers get a bit of entertainment to brighten their day; the coffee shop will have an increase in business because of more repeat customers, other autistic people have inspiration regarding understanding their unique traits and how to convert them into advantages... Winning all around!
