I brought my 1997 Toyota Camry with 306k on the odometer to Carmax. They offered me a can of Coke and a fun sized Snickers. I seriously considered their offer...

My in-laws own a 1999 Toyota Camry with 468k miles. That generation Camry is very reliable.

@@gilbertvehicleservices it is a good car, I just have come to a point where the upkeep is in excess of what I paid for it. It needs suspension work and a new oil pump to fix a leak. I'm selling it to a friend for $500. It's got a new alternator, timing belt, oil pressure sensor, tires and battery. I recently got a 2009 Honda Fit and I love it.

Better the devil you know! My Toyota was worth less than my socks. However when I saw all the repairs my fellow VW (Golf - especially), BMW, Ford etc owners had to deal with... not to mention my brothers hideous unreliable Porsche ...... cars with less than 1/4 of the miles my Toyota had, but with far more costly problems .. I decided to hold on to it. Unfortunately I feel ill, and due to medication I had my license revoked and it had to go. I got £80 for it ... 80 pieces of silver. I cried for days 😭

Hey Josh Think your videos are great and really it was due too you that I decided to take the plunge and buy my Bentley Arnage T (2003) as my everyday car I think I will start uploading videos of it. as I have owned it three months and have clocked up over 7000 miles it is just orgasmic and when I bought it the dash was like a xmas tree with all the lights coming on after three months every light is now out and. I have spent only £1000 so far so other than fuel costs it is the bees knees

Really sad you have to sell the car but this will see you one day closer to your next gem of a car. In Australia a special Bentley like yours would sell for $AUD100,000 plus. Catch is that the steering wheel was put on the wrong side.😳 Good luck with the sale someone is about to buy a gem of a Bentley Please keep us posted on where you are next.

In my honest opinion, this T24 Le Mans Type is the most Beautiful Arnage out there ! I at least consider it like 20% more Value ,than a reg.. Bentley Arnage . Josh, no Car Buyer Company will pay more for the car because of special options, because they have no guarantee ,they be able to sell the Car for a Special Options price ! I remember my friend made a Deal with a local Benz Dealer, he bought a Nakamichi Audio Set worth 20,000 ,for 5,000 because they Dealer never would be able to sell the Car for more , with this Audio set . Greetings , and don 't Sell it !

I think people seek out those special cars and are willing to pay more. There won't be many such people but hey you only need one or if it's a property auction two at the auction is very good

Wow. Can’t believe you’re contemplating selling the always rare Arnage?!?! The last handcrafted car that will undoubtedly rocket up in value in the future. You must have your reasons though so respect. I’ll be keeping a death grip on my ‘07 Arnage R Mulliner

Doug Sharples 4 doors is usually a real limiting factor usually. The continental gt will be the only car of the 2000’s to have a shot at increasing value. More specifically the convertibles and speed models.

JoshsWorld.com oddly true! I always saw them as an option in the drop down list, but never knew they don’t provide values. It looks like it doesn’t pull a value for any year Bentley, Weirder that you can try to search for an 05 value, but not 04. In the end it says a data point is missing so doesn’t show anything.

How much are you asking for the car?
@markbojanjac68056 жыл бұрын
As a collector of several completely different types of cars, I'll NEVER part with mine. It's just too much car.......and too much car for the money. Like you, I have had ZERO bad things happen with it - it's simply exquisitely well-made.....'everywhere'. It was never in fashion so it'll never be out of fashion. It' supremely comfortable, powerful enough and has way, way more road-presence than any crass SUV. Try valet parking your 'metoo' SUV at the best restaurant in town. Hand built class isn't about resale value or even transport, it's about how it makes YOU feel. This is Saville Row on wheels. Weigh up the paltry exit $ and its simply more joy kept than sold.

Thanks for making a difficult decision even harder! Haha!
@markbojanjac68056 жыл бұрын
The relatively minimal money involved means you can likely afford to retain it if you really want. Space issues aside that is. I always ask myself "would I buy this car at his price". If the answers is yes then the course forward is obviously keep it and vice versa. @@JoshsWorld

Your car looks to be in great condition and no one is ever going to build a 'Rolls-Royce' Bentley again. Why not put it in storage for a decade? These cars have hit rock bottom price wise and can only appreciate. The Azure is over £100,000 in UK, a similar year/condition Arnage £40,000. It's onwards and upwards mate!

When it comes to appreciation, 2-door cars tend to fare better than sedans. I hope the car does appreciate as you say, but unfortunately for me, that will be for the next owner to discover.
