@@vinywild8202in the show I believe Carmilla is actually considerably stronger than Alucard. all of the other vampire generals are positively terrified of her because of how strong she is, and she was able to do things that Alucard really struggled with (taking on hordes of demons by herself with little to no issue, whereas Alucard just barely made it, etc), Alucard won out a lot of battles because of teamwork. In the games I’d say Alucard though. at the time of her rise to power I’d say Carmilla was probably the 2nd strongest vampire, next to Dracula himself. but again this is only in the show, not the games.

Little known fact but Carmilla actually predates Dracula as the OG fantasy romance vampire. Carmilla was written 20 years before Dracula and her tragic story about seducing a young maiden was suspected to be intended as a warning against lesbian relationships but it kinda more served as a quality piece of queer vampire literature. I don't know if that's the same lore as Carmilla in Castlevania, but that's the og lore.

This prompted Hector to chase after him and end up in Dracula's reforming castle and the middle of a plot to resurrect him using Isaac's body. I always thought Carmilla's pride and thinking she was the greatest vampire general and next in line to be the ruler of all vampires was the perfect setup to her downfall. I love that it was Isaac who took her down, and that he really felt no animosity toward her- he just realized she was a crazed maniac and the supernatural community would be better off without her. His calm assertion as to why she needed to be put down spoke volumes as to how he had developed, since he started off a bundle of rage swearing to brutally kill Hector for betraying Dracula but ultimately not only forgives him but grants his wish to take out the vampire queen wannabe.
