I read an article of when the police went to Galante months earlier and told them that they had information that people in this organization were out to kill him. He replied, "They wouldn't dare make a move on me!" Well you know what carmine, they dared, they did, and your stupid Italian guinea ass got wacked, killed! The sky galante just got a little too full of himself! He thought he was respected in the end, he thought he was feared in the end, but he was wrong because he was nothing but hated. There's nothing unusual about being hated when you're a soldier in the mafia. It comes with the territory. But being hated without being feared is dangerous!

Joe Bonanno going on 60 Minutes for a whole interview as one of the original Commission bosses to talk about the life was one thing, but him swearing he knew nothing and would never condone drug trafficking when Lilo was his #2 man and the biggest heroin importer in North America for a good while was something else. Edit: Had to share that I gleefully subbed to your channel within a few minutes upon realizing your VO work has genuine personality and energy far and away from bootleg AI nonsense, and I can already enjoy the fact that you do your research and keep up a great balance of wit which is how it's supposed to be done. @@Ishbikes yeah, basically bonnano wanted to take control of the commission and maglioco, bonnanos in law and Joe profacis successor wanted a seat on the commission after he was denied. Maglioco ordered Joe Colombo to kill gambino and luchese (bonnano hated Carlo and luchese was Carlos in law and closest ally). Colombo betrays maglioco who's called before the commission along with his suspected Co conspirator, bonnano (who doesnt show) and takes full responsibility. Maglioco is then shelved but let live. There is no proof bonnano was actually involved but bc he ignored the commission calling him like 4 times he was also shelved. He eventually started a war trying to make a comeback but lost and was again allowed to live, retiring to Arizona where he died of old age.

I read about this guy Galante. Five feet five inches tall, and so was Sammy Gravano. Galante was allegedly so tough and Fearless he walked up to a crowd of black inmates in prison and yelled at them to get away from a water fountain he wanted to use. Five feet Five and Fearless. Anybody to walk up to a gang of blacks and yell at them has to be at least half crazy to not give a damn about his own place in harms way. When he got out his own Italian mafia soldiers were terrified of him. If you think about it, that's a very powerful man that could get people to have such regard for and that they actually were scared to death of him. Years later his own daughter was on film talking about him and she said he was one mean hombre!

@bkprimo1
@bkprimo1 Ай бұрын
While I love Teddy’s fight to not give in to Momo Giancana, I think these were the true founders of what was one of the only profitable rackets that blacks controlled for decades. Its mere existence brought wealth and funding for Black entrepreneurship at a time black people had little or no chance of getting bank loans. Hate for most of the stories on Mob Media to be told from a White perspective and seemingly only publicizing the Mob takeover, and not how vital the policy game was to the economy of Black America following the Great Migration north. Sorry to sound like I was critiquing you. You are one of the few Black content creators in this genre and I was hoping to get some of this history out there like the exposure the Irish and Jewish mobs have gotten these last few years. Only thing I see are stories of the Heroin and Crack kingpins, who were so destructive to the race and not as constructive as the Black Policy Kings and Queens. Old historian now shutting up and playing my position. 😂
