The point is that: if everything is country music, nothing is. Country music is about storytelling, beautiful vocal harmonies, dobro, mandolin, fiddle, sliding steel, banjo, guitar, and light percussion. (Aka not manufactured/ computerized sound) When anything that talks about trucks, dirt roads, or beer becomes country music, it IS terribly sad.

Actually it’s not a perfect country song if it doesn’t say something about Mamas Prison,Trucks, Trains, Rain or gettin drunk. And David Alan Coe felt obliged to add the last verse to the song and it goes like this... I was a freshman in high school and all the older people were saying the same thing about 90's country compared to what we call classic country today.
