Making this right now. I am wondering if I am supposed to add diced tomatoes or something similar since u said it's a tomatillo sauce..in any event it looks easy and I am sure it will be delicious with or without diced tomatoes in the sauce. Ty

Joyce! I'm sure I didn't respond before this was made, so sorry! I don't add diced tomatoes to the sauce, however, it would be tasty. Tomatillo sauce/salsa is made with tomatillos which are like a small green tomato, but have a different flavor. I often add diced tomatoes to the top after cooking because I love tomatoes and it adds some color. I hope you all enjoyed the casserole!
