Overall it’s a good looking watch. Dial is awesome alongside the hands. Case back window irrelevant but quirky. Would expect sapphire Crystal and that would keep it In line with likes of Pagani. Strap is a throw away. Great review

Cheers Ray, and it is a really good looking watch but could have been better done. I don't mind that the crystal isn't sapphire, but the lying about it is what got me. Agree on the strap too, its awful.

Nice watch! Love that white dial. Makes the piece more sporty. I believe it would match with most outfits 👍🏼

42mm for a dress watch is crazy. Just sold my 38mm cocktail time, and whilst a lovely dial, not great value for money. Terrible they lied about the sapphire. Have you noticed the "&" isn't central between the "I" and the "W"? Keep the good work, the world needs you

Not a bad looking watch, I went with an orient bambino in place of the more expensive presage and I’m quite happy with it. This one looks ok, I agree with the day date, just the date would have been much better. Great video as always m8!

Excellent review. It looks nice enough, not worried about mineral glass, if they're honest about it and just tell us! As it is a cocktail time homage, it should definitely be 50m. Imagine what might happen if I drop it into my Mojito?;😜😂

Carnival has a long, documented history of misrepresenting their mineral crystals as sapphire. I've no idea why they do this, but it is a consistent practice across their range. I don't know that any of their watches actually have a sapphire crystal.

Agreed, I don't mineral as its a dress watch and not a diver or tool watch but they shouldn't have lied about it. A different strap would really make a lot better too, and a smaller diameter. Thanks mate

Almost thought it looked like an IWC... Maybe its the logo. I agree it would have been a lovely dial without the day/date complication! A nice alternative if you want to know what a presage would feel like without having to pay Seiko prices.

Great review, as always! But the dial... is it really textured? At this macro level, it's hard to tell to be honest. When seeing your shots of the watch from high up, I thought it looked really good, but at the macro level, I'm really struggling to make out if this is a real texture or it is just grey lines printed on the white dial... in comparison to the pressed minute track, it looks really flat. I'm looking at 04:18 in the video. I could be very wrong of course

Thank you, from what I could see it appears to be textured, but there's only really one way to find out for sure and that's to take it apart. But that is where my skill level ends.

Looks like the hands were made for a 40mm watch. Fair review 👍 . I have to agree that strap looks horrible!

what a shame the dial is stunning. As you say the day/ date ruins it plus the spacing between i&w 🤔 and was it really necessary to put the word carnival on there. The mineral crystal not a deal breaker being an occasional dress watch and the straps i usually change out anyway. Thanks for another great reviews, keep them coming Wes loving the channel 👍

Definitely agree. Mineral crystal isn't an issue but they should say it. Also the I & W does look off. I think they measured the spacing from the & and the W to the top of the W instead of the bottom and that's why it looks off. Well spotted!

With all these Chinese watches they seem capable of producing fantastic pieces but have a nak of just doing a few small things which seems to be on the majority that just make you ask yourself why did they do that it could of easily been so much better. Think a new trend need to start where they start to ask and listen to watch community (nerds) for some input. We'd all benefit!

In this case I have to say the homage isn't a viable alternativt to the original. Firstly it's even bigger which isn't all that desirable on an all dial dress watch. And if even the advertised sapphire crystal turns out to be a mineral it makes it even worse. This sneaky little lie kills the watch for me, I'm afraid, thank you for testing it mate! As for the second hand, I would complain even more about the fact that it's too short than about the colour.

We can complain about both 😂 and yeah its not the best alternative to the seiko. I don't mind the crystal but just - like you said don't lie about it.

It's funny but all Presages (and their homages) just suit their "it's cocktail time!" design/purpose, can't see any other use. Pity but true, at least in my eyes. Thanks Wes, be well mate.

I always find it odd when a decent sized watch has long lugs tacked on for no real reason. Several Bulova and Hamilton watches have this aspect which makes it not 'for me'. Good looking watch here though! 😀

Agree, it makes a nice compact diameter unwearable in some cases. The Khaki mechanical is a good example, nice diameter but really long lugs.

The Seiko isn't a super expensive watch. Save your money and buy the Seiko
