I remember a time when the late night buffet was photo worthy, elegant affair, even on Carnival. This is still a nice option.

Yeah they had a few tasty offerings. It'd be even nicer if the deli is still open during this buffet, but those hard-working crew manning that station needs some well-deserved rest.

I thought Carnival had dropped the midnigh5 buffet, glad to see it back. I’m going on Valor out of Barcelona next June to New Orleans. Carnival is sending Valor from Nola to Barcelona in early May for a dry dock and I booked her return trip.

Yeah it was nice that they brought it back- better to have it than just pizzas. Congrats on the Valor booking! That sounds like a 2 week cruise- should be a ton of fun & good food! 🥳🙌

@@TravelTouristVideos It’s 15 nights, got it on sale. Going on a rare eastbound transatlantic Oct 25th, Royal’s Adventure from Orlando to Perfect Day, the Canary Islands, ending in Lisbon. Adventure is also going for a dry dock. Booked Valor going westbound in spring so I only needed one RT airfare. Got an SAS open jaw from Expedia for just $589.20! Will report back on the food! 😎

Finally, back home after 30 days at sea. The Carnival food looks a lot better and fresher than what was served at midnight on the Celebrity Solstice the last two cruises which was overcooked, tired pasta and dried pizza. It looks a lot like what I would want to see after the late show prior to heading back to the cabin. As usual, another great video.

Thanks JL- hope you had a great time! 😊 Sounds like Celebrity needs to get its act together for their late night food. That's kind of what we experienced too on the non-Edge-class ships. Pizza was very good on the Apex but at times sloppy and dry on the Millennium.

@@TravelTouristVideos On Solstice, the pizza appeared done on the top but the crust lacked any crunchiness. After 16 days on the Solstice and 14 days on the HAL Nieuw Amsterdam, I will concede that HAL's buffet is a lot better both in food and service. I found that eating at the buffet on the Solstice to be very stressful in terms of people running into me constantly and the lack of sufficient seating MOST of the time. To navigate that buffet took the same kind of skills that a running back needs like the ability to make cuts to avoid people. When I got on to the NA, it was great to be able to wait in line to be served, take our meals to an open table and to have staff actually serve us beverages. It was very calming and relaxing. Most of our future cruises will be on HAL and Princess.

Yeah we thought there was a big difference in buffet selection & quality on the Celebrity Edge-class vs the Millennium-class, but haven't tried the Solstice-class. So from what u described it seems similar to the Millennium-class. For HAL we've always had good experience at the buffet old or new ship- they're consistently good with the food quality and service.

Exactly… I was also on the Venezia. I would eat dinner around 6:30-7:00 and then return at 9:00 pm and pack a plate that I took to the room in case I got hungry later. I did not like the food at the late buffet.

Ok i watched all videos i missed ig…. It is confirmed: BREAKFAST/BRUNCH IS THE BEST…. Since there are more i like.. and then dinner… i feel the lunch there wasnt that many things… What if your fv? Like the Way i choose…

Nice! Carnival actually has quite a few lunch options: kzbin.info/aero/PLKZWB-uCIzwSoP95wifAYegrz83_BxLOH And that's not including their pizzas and sandwiches place (new videos coming soon for those). Brunch was pretty good, and the huevos rancheros from Tomodoro/Blue Iguana was excellent. Dinner had the best dishes though overall.

That sucks- hopefully with enough guest feedback they will change their minds. Seems that apart from room service, Royal Caribbean will be the only major cruise line that offers pizza well after midnight.

Have you ever been on a cruise the food is good we have been on so many we get free laundry done we go on a cruise to have fun hot tub time 🎉and show time and we go on back to back three weeks or more at a time you pay for the big plane ride stay long after getting off ship so let’s just smile today .
