The are filling ships easier now so it might not be as cheap but you can book a cruise on carnival a year in advance for dirt cheap. I've gone on a 7 Day cruise on carnival for $350

When I first started cruising, I viewed going on a cruise as something super special. An elegant, luxurious vacation where people behaved in a dignified way for the most part. There was a certain unspoken "decorum" expected. It was an honor to be there, and on formal nights everyone was excited and proud to dress up. Ladies in evening gowns and men in tuxedos or suits and ties. Wow, somewhere along the line, the world has changed - and not necessarily for the good. Cruising now is pretty much like hanging out at Walmart or the county fair. But then society as a whole seems to be sliding in that direction, it seems....😕

Carnival does have a 15 drink per 24 hour limit - that I think is enough to take out a rhino, but whatever. I can't tell you how many times my husband and I have been enjoying a pre-dinner cocktail and someone has been cut off -- at 5:30 p.m. People don't know their limits, or need a support program.

I had a situation where a woman was making fun of and mocking our server who had a Russian sounding accent. I got so mad. Instead of slapping the taste out of her mouth.. I broke her down like a fraction with my words. I told her she really needed to get out more and meet more people than she had been from her little West Virginia town. He hubby just sat there and actually agreed with me. She tried to act like she was going to flex on me but decided not to go there .Two days later we ran into each other in the elevator and me and my besties acted like nothing happened.. she just looked down at the floor and couldn’t get off the elevator fast enough..

People never know their limits. Alcohol sometimes bring out people’s true colors. Definitely a lesson for many. Carnival has a lot going on but it’s because people do not know how to behave sometimes. It’s unfortunate because you’re on a vacation you paid for. Worst time to get into a physical altercation smh. I would never want to get arrested or kicked off a boat. Especially depending on where you are in the water. Different ports have different laws and some have absolutely no tolerance for the foolery. As a black man I’d walk away seeing that the guy is drunk. I deal with this at work as a paramedic so I’ve been called so much shite…. I don’t care, but if he followed me, got in my personal space or touched me he’d go nighty night. I’m too old to destroy lil boys on cruise ships when they can’t hold their booze. Good on everyone’s friends not jumping in and not causing this to get even bigger than it should have gotten. Both sides stayed calm. People got to realise every action has a reaction. If you’re known to not be able to handle liquor well you should tell your friends and family to monitor you if you’re not adult enough to cut yourself off. Same with the friends and family. If you know they can’t handle lots of booze and know they have a big mouth why are you letting them get faded? 🤦🏽‍♂️ the Darwin Award recipients list grows by the minute folks.

Don’t care the race, the slur, the special string of various words, getting called a name isn’t a free pass for assault. That said, if you’re dropping vulgarities, slurs or not, especially if children are around then security needs to get involved, but if you’re throwing hands because of a word then you become the problem.
