Got some pork rinds to munch on through the day.

I Love all these different carnivore videos and how people's bodies are so different as far as what one person can tolerate but the next person can't. I think this is why it's not helping when people tell someone what they should and shouldn't do because something is working for them. People should do the work, experiment and figure out what's good for their own body. I'm glad you found the answer to your problem. Steak and Butter Gal is Awesome!!!

Thanks for the info! Very interesting. I also hated making bacon due to the mess. I now make it in the microwave and it's the easiest and least cleanup method I've come across. Takes me about 1/2 hour to make a whole package at a time. I use an oval platter, lay down 2 paper towels, place about 5 or 6 strips, and cover with 1 paper towel. --Nuke for about 4 minutes but keep an eye on it. I go for a little less crispy because it's going to crisp up when its reheated. Place the cooked bacon on a paper plate or towel til it cools off. Do this about 3 times til the package is done. Refrigerate all the cooled bacon. I keep a plastic bag handy to put all the greasy paper towels in. Cleanup is really easy. You may have to wipe out the microwave if you get grease spatters but it's usually minimal.

I found I didn't need to cut out salt but instead add in potassium. Now I have 2 salt grinders on the counter: one with sea salt and the other with potassium chloride. Edit: I should clarify that it wasn't so much nausea as much as it was just a general "blah" sort of feeling in my gut. Loss of interest in eating while simultaneously feeling hungry. This coupled with horrific leg cramps at night lead me to a LOT of investigation. The cramps I tracked down to carbs. Without fail 1.5-2hrs after eating carbs my calves and hamstrings would cramp up so badly that I would be incapacitated. I had been low carb for a long time but the cramps are what lead me to full carnivore. After more digging and experimentation that's when I stumbled on the potassium and, for me at least, it worked. I don't need much but it's always on hand for me.

I feel like gagging after a plate of meat and I’m choking it down. Any advice?
@rosssundberg55107 ай бұрын
2 weeks in I felt like that. 3 weeks I started to turn the corner and now I don’t feel satisfied without beef. I have added some other things back in much much later so I’m ketovore now.

Try some finely diced apple with your meat.

I also found I’m sensitive to egg whites! I always dismissed my symptoms until I eliminated them and voila! I lost weight!

I used Redmonds Real Salt for 10 months then switched to Maldon Sea Salt so I don't think they have additives in them. Yeah…i felt pretty horrible after every meal. Thank the Lord Bella made her video!
@pabeader19417 ай бұрын
@@CarnivoreToday Maldon is a dehydrated sea salt so it has all the bad stuff that is in the sea, in concentrated form. But since you aren't using hardly any, it should be fine for the short term and even the medium term. Long term though???

Do you think 70 lean / 30 fat ground beef contains enough fat? I'm currently eating 85/15 but I don't think it's quite enough.

I would use that ratio myself, but I would experiment until you feel good.

I am back on salt. My migraines got worse, I started getting foot cramps, my urine went dark yellow, my skin seemed worse and I was waking with a dry throat. All vanished when I added back Himalayan salt except I'm waiting on my skin improvement to come.

hrm...I'm fine with eggs, but anything pork makes me feel the need to lay down or throw up :P Used to love eating it, but physically can not these days. I think for me it's the way pork is processed. I haven't tried it from the local butcher yet, but I think I shall. Their chicken certainly tastes way better than anything store bought.

Imo if a person isn't sweating alot then sodium isn't easily depleted. There is sodium in beef because cattle have salt licks to lick when they require salt. Some meat tastes saltier naturally possibly due to the cows heavier consumption of salt just prior to slaughter. Well wishes.

Look up Dr Berry making bacon with Neisha. They do it in a tall pot so there isn't any mess. I do it in a shorter pot but I use lid.

Do you take iodine?
@samsaraa20014 ай бұрын
Wow, this is actually a brilliant comment for a couple reasons! Many above are talking about talking potassium with the salt to balance the ratio. If you take Lugols, it’s potassium iodide so that would help with the ratio. Then that made me realize that when I was taking lugols i wasn’t having issues with the nausea. And less to no cramping… hmmm. It’s all so interesting untangling this dietary web…
@thefarmgirl307 ай бұрын
Food with high histamine can cause nausea as well…bacon, eggs, ground beef (or leftover meat), and dairy are just a few things with high histamine. Fresh or frozen seafood or meat is best for ppl with histamine sensitivities. It’s good to be honest with this diet bc nothing is a “one size fits all” solution!

Occasionally, I would add it to a salad, cucumbers, and tomatoes. But never in the quantity I did on Carnivore.

It looks to me like you had a sodium/potassium imbalance. Increase your potassium intake with avocado, coconut drink, or V8 with low sodium. That should fix it!
