Was also blessed by your videos, Bella. I never did thank you for the video that you dropped less than 24 hours after I commented one of your videos, concerning explosive diarrhea in my 1st 2 weeks of carnivore . I didn’t think I was going be able to continue on the carnivore diet. Less than 24 hours after that comment you dropped very detailed video about navigating through and calming down diarrhea and other symptoms of Keto flu. I overnighted the supplements you suggested and implemented your directions . I found a relief within two days of implementing them. I showed the video to my daughter-in-law and said I think Bella dropped this just for me. She watched the video with me and chuckled when you said, drink room, temperature water not cold, and keep water as far away from your meals while still being diligent to hydrate. It’s an Asian thing. She said, “yes mom, that is an Asian thing, I don’t think iced water has ever passed my lips. It’s been great being part of the Steak And Butter Gang. Thank you, Bella and Adam for all the work that you do to help people navigate their way back to health.

Great video. I am experiencing the same thing. Only been on carnivore 7weeks. First 5 weeks were fine. Now every time I eat it’s right to the bathroom. I never even feel like eating. Stomach is always rumbling. Taking electrolytes several times a day and might not be getting enough fat in my diet. Mainly eating beef and chicken with cheese. Got some pork rinds to munch on through the day.

I Love all these different carnivore videos and how people's bodies are so different as far as what one person can tolerate but the next person can't. I think this is why it's not helping when people tell someone what they should and shouldn't do because something is working for them. People should do the work, experiment and figure out what's good for their own body. I'm glad you found the answer to your problem. Steak and Butter Gal is Awesome!!!

Not all ppl are different ❤. We all are almost same. ❤ The damage to our bodies may be so much different from all the other diets so we return back to our "proper himan diet" far slower than any other specie. We, as just one and only specie in the world forgot what to eat primarily...

I also cut back on salt to help with nausea. But what really 3:14 3:22 worked for me is fermented foods. Kimchi sauerkraut and plain kifer milk. I added just a tablespoon to every meal. No more nausea perfect poos. I lived in Korea a year when i was very young and tried kimchi, hated it. Love it now with everything.

Salt is what makes meat edible. Without salt, all I would do is drink water. All meat tastes like liver to me, and I HATE liver. So glad I don't have any of the symptoms you were experiencing. So happy that you have found a solution that works for you.

Thanks! I was using Redmonds for 10 months and still had the nausea, but worse. When I switched to Maldon the nausea lessened slightly, then went away completely once I cut out all salt. Since I have gone salt-free, I have no issues with flavor. I have a super heightened sense of taste since stopping salt.

Wow, that's great news, Adam! I never in a million years would have connected salt and nausea. Especially the more healthy salts that carnivores favor. Yes, Bella's Steak and Butter group is fantastic. I joined 2 weeks into my Carnivore journey (I waited until the 1st day of the month, Lol), and it was easily the best carnivore move I made. I have learned so much and highly recommend it to anyone, even if it's just for one month. Especially beginners.

I stopped salting my food, the first thing I noticed after the first day was, I didn’t wake early for no reason. That has continued to this day. Not saying salt is bad for us, I purchased a 25 lb bag of Redmond’s sea salt before I stopped. Only got through half the bag. I use it so sparingly now, it might take 10 years to finish the bag.

Thanks for the info! Very interesting. I also hated making bacon due to the mess. I now make it in the microwave and it's the easiest and least cleanup method I've come across. Takes me about 1/2 hour to make a whole package at a time. I use an oval platter, lay down 2 paper towels, place about 5 or 6 strips, and cover with 1 paper towel. --Nuke for about 4 minutes but keep an eye on it. I go for a little less crispy because it's going to crisp up when its reheated. Place the cooked bacon on a paper plate or towel til it cools off. Do this about 3 times til the package is done. Refrigerate all the cooled bacon. I keep a plastic bag handy to put all the greasy paper towels in. Cleanup is really easy. You may have to wipe out the microwave if you get grease spatters but it's usually minimal.

The reason I stopped carnivore after two weeks was the constant gagging, dry vomiting, dry heaving after several bites of ground beef or steak. I felt my best during carnivore but I felt like I was severely undereating. I felt devastated because while I felt my best during carnivore, I would also get little spots of hives on my arms which may indicate a histamine issue. I really hope this trick could be the answer for me as well. Thank you for posting this video!

I found I didn't need to cut out salt but instead add in potassium. Now I have 2 salt grinders on the counter: one with sea salt and the other with potassium chloride. Edit: I should clarify that it wasn't so much nausea as much as it was just a general "blah" sort of feeling in my gut. Loss of interest in eating while simultaneously feeling hungry. This coupled with horrific leg cramps at night lead me to a LOT of investigation. The cramps I tracked down to carbs. Without fail 1.5-2hrs after eating carbs my calves and hamstrings would cramp up so badly that I would be incapacitated. I had been low carb for a long time but the cramps are what lead me to full carnivore. After more digging and experimentation that's when I stumbled on the potassium and, for me at least, it worked. I don't need much but it's always on hand for me.

Today I lost it and had a couple of granola bars and chocolate - best I’ve felt in 63 days 🤪 I think most of my nausea comes from heavier meats like beef and some pork. When I first went keto, I felt like I needed a TON of exogenous electrolytes. I did that for years until I started having weird post-prandial tachycardia issues mid-day. It took awhile to figure out, but it went away when I ditched the exogenous electrolyte drinks. Too much salt would make it come back too. I can still salt my food to taste and take magnesium, but I've learned there is such a thing as too much salt for my body.

So I couldn't work out the problem. My sleep was getting worse and worse but I huge amounts of energy. Now I've switched to fresh meat and fresh suet that I have to order from the butcheries factory. Interesting I to suffer some stomach nausea, and I’m clean carnivore but mostly lion. My leg cramps were getting insane with higher doses of salts and electrolytes, I was drinking mostly ice cold bubbly water too. I’m now drinking straight water out of my tap. It’s fresh well water not city, and once every two day might have an electrolyte. But have reduced the salt largely and I’m seemingly better with those changes, I’m going to try no salt for a trial. Thanks for sharing

Hope it helps! Dr. Chaffee says there is plenty of sodium in meat. I think my body is just good at extracting that sodium and then I add a ton on top and its just too much, almost caustic in my stomach.

If i recall there is a sodium potassium ratio we need to be healthy. You might want to get a hair mineral analysis, or just simply have more potassium as a supplement. But, im just throwing an idea out, could even be another electrolyte

I feel great! Still no added salt to anything. I take no electrolytes either. I only eat Beef, eggs, butter, and water. Occasionally coffee. Apparently, my body is very efficient at extracting minerals, including sodium, from the meat.

That's very weird because we need salt, specially when transitioning to fat adapted you pee a lot (detox), the oxalates carry with them all minerals. When I start to feel weird, headache, I add a pinch of sea salt, potassium chloride and baking soda into a glass of water, and I feel better afterwards. Keto flu is basically electrolytes imbalance.

I’ve been trying for the last two weeks to eat carnivore. I have an autoimmune disease as well, and it’s awful. I’m really struggling with just meat. Everything is the same texture. There’s nothing bright and fresh and cold, refreshing. I really want to feel better, but I truly don’t know if I can do just meat. Beef tastes like blood to me. I feel like gagging after a plate of meat and I’m choking it down. Any advice?

Imo if a person isn't sweating alot then sodium isn't easily depleted. There is sodium in beef because cattle have salt licks to lick when they require salt. Some meat tastes saltier naturally possibly due to the cows heavier consumption of salt just prior to slaughter. Well wishes.

Wow, this is actually a brilliant comment for a couple reasons! Many above are talking about talking potassium with the salt to balance the ratio. If you take Lugols, it’s potassium iodide so that would help with the ratio. Then that made me realize that when I was taking lugols i wasn’t having issues with the nausea. And less to no cramping… hmmm. It’s all so interesting untangling this dietary web…

Food with high histamine can cause nausea as well…bacon, eggs, ground beef (or leftover meat), and dairy are just a few things with high histamine. Fresh or frozen seafood or meat is best for ppl with histamine sensitivities. It’s good to be honest with this diet bc nothing is a “one size fits all” solution!
