I think it's pretty simple, if you want to maximize your health when it comes to your diet decrease or eliminate alcohol, added sugars, saturated fats, ultraprocessed foods and foods that you're allergic or sensitive to. An anti-inflammatory diet includes fruits, vegetables, and healthy fats. When I hear people talk about the carnivore diet or keto and rave about how great it is and that vegans only eat processed foods I think, do they realize all meat and dairy are processed? They literally call them meat processing plants. So unless you're hunting and and preparing it yourself or drinking milk straight from the cow you are consuming processed foods.
@philipxoxo5 күн бұрын
"processed" is just drivel. Take everything on a case by case basis.

Yeah, and even unprocessed meat, egg and dairy have been found to be more harmful than helpful. Increasing risk of cancer, diabetes, high blood pressure, coronary heart disease, etc
@mjs28s5 күн бұрын
The use of processed for the carni is obvious. Calling meat processed is on the same level that you should just call every food processed, less you are eating only the things that you pick yourself, don't wash them or peel them, etc. Vegan processed foods is going to come along with things like refined grains, partially or wholly, isolated this or that, fillers, thickeners, flavor enhancers, etc. And, yes I get the "Not all" so lets not play that. Talk about the majority of vegan products. Now, buying meat (which is disgusting and I am not defending it only harping on your argument by redefining of term or intentionally misrepresenting their argument), does not require additives, artificial this or that, thickeners, etc. They are simply buying flesh with the hair and, often, the skin removed and then portioned into reasonable portions. I am not pro-meat by a long shot, but weak arguments is not what vegans should be using to get others to stop with the consumption of animals whether they go vegan or not, at least people should to eating them. That along would spare billions of land animals per year. Hundreds of billions or even over a trillion, if you count fresh and saltwater fish and other critters.

I can’t imagine having the same thing to eat for every single meal, nothing to eat but meat, cheese and eggs, and nothing to drink but milk, I just simply do not believe that anyone who says they are 100% carnivore is telling the truth, especially when they say they’ve been doing it for years and years.
@subwayfacemelt43255 күн бұрын
@@jadeedmundson5715 I do it, without milk. I just drink water only. But I have to, or I get badly ill. "100% Carnivore" means no dairy...I think...Maybe that's the "Lion Diet". There are many variations of "carnivore". My version requires no milk because, like the OP states, there's all sorts of processes/policies followed in the production of animal products, and it often involves persistently nasty chemicals much like the pesticides and their adjuvants that are sprayed onto and soaked up by the plants we grow.

I have some thoughts about this video. Firstly, many people do very well on carnivore as it is really varies from person to person. Personally, I found that I feel much better with non-starchy vegetables as part of my diet and always have issues on carnivore, however overall I am a big believer in a low carb approach (it's the only way I can keep weight off long term). Secondly, Atkins and Carnivore are NOT the same thing. You can have tons of plant and processed foods on Atkins, which are both prohibited on carnivore. Thirdly, the reason people do carnivore and have long term success is often because they are highly intolerant of many plant foods and find that going completely off them helps their body heal more effectively.
@TheStruggler1015 күн бұрын
But you can't call it healing can you? Because if someone following the carnivore diet for that reason attempted to eat plant/fibre containing foods again they would just get all of the same symptoms as they were before, or they would find themselves even more intolerant of those foods than before.

I have nothing against vegetarians or vegans; I prefer a balance of meat and veggies. The issue I see with vegetarians/vegans granted vegetarians can have eggs is that it's hard to get the protein I need with lower calories. They have protein-type foods like tempeh and tofu, but the issue with all those meat alternatives is that they are all super-processed and man-made foods. Meat is just natural and dont have to really do anything to it. I do use some of his recipes as I do enjoy these type of meals as well but sometimes I toss in some meat.
@moonrisestudiosco4 күн бұрын
Well, to be clear, tofu and tempeh aren't neat alternatives, they're just minimally processed protein sources. Tempeh in particular is denser in protein, even less processed and has a strong probiotic impact. They're technically man-made but have been a significant part of Asian diets for two thousand years and are pretty far removed from what we industrially think of as processed in that way. Edamame by itself even is pretty dense in protein. Good on you sticking to whole foods as much as you can though.

The human body needs carbohydrates and fiber and the vitamins from veggies that you can't get from animal products..... Now, the studies that do exist are the ones like high animal product intake to increased risk of colorectal cancer and other forms of cancer.

You mention on minute 5:35 that one can read about turmeric like crazy, so one assumes you have, but then you don't add any black pepper to the dressing, only white and cayenne pepper... heretic!
@SauceStache5 күн бұрын
Yes that was on purpose. I added white pepper for the flavor but also the Piperine which is the compound in black and white pepper that helps turmeric absorb. There is less Piperine in white pepper than black pepper but still enough for a turmeric absorption. Personally I like the flavor of white pepper better and in the case of Piperine, you only need around 20mg piperine per 2g turmeric... which we absolutely achieved here.

There seems to be a cognitive dissonance of the negatives of one extreme diet choice while neglecting this space falls into the complete opposite extreme diet choice. I am not in favor of carnivore diet but there are plenty of these both very positive and very negative examples in both carnivore/keto/atkins whatever and vegan groups. it seems what the world is really going to be defaulting back into is whole foods diet as nature intended. The positive benefits from both sides of the aisle have likely come from far less calories coming from processed packaged trash. The negatives reveal the pitfalls of the diet choice. Real food is 1 ingredient food. Fruits, nuts, seeds, meat, vegetables, fish, legumes etc... Its just interesting the pure cognitive dissonance that is displayed when you watch as an outside observer both opposite extreme groups say the same things just fill in the blank with different labels.

Except I’m not vegan. I will say that a plant-based diet is not even close to being the opposite of a carnivore diet. A carnivore diet eliminates all food groups except one whereas a plant-based diet eliminates one food group, you can still eat a holy balanced diet while-being plant based.. you cannot eat a balanced diet eating carnivore.

hey sauce stache I was wondering if you can boil lobster mushroom like they where actually a lobster and to make it look the part before boiling it is to put it in a lobster mold and also on another video can you make plant based milk with just water and the fruit itself and on another video can you do the same thing but this time vegetables instead of fruit and on another video can you do that in the same order but this time cocoa beans and another in the same order but coffee beans

Thanks for calling out the PROTEIN count everyone hollers about…. vegan diets are lacking
@SauceStache5 күн бұрын
What are you talking about... I didnt even add a rich protein source to this dish... if I would have I could have totally matched any meat dish. Thats NOT what this dish was. 20g of protein for an entirely veggie based dish is GOOD! If I wanted to I could have added Tempeh for an additional 30g protein bringing this to 50g protein dish topping or matching ANY meat based dish, while also blowing it out of the water nutritionally. Im assuming this comment must be a joke because no one is this dense.

@ Shawn Baker, Red Beard Engineered (ended up supplementing beer and honey), Anthony Chaffee (unable to find original video of blood results and glucose nearing 150 on carnivore diet). There was a power lifter that ended up becoming diabetic on carnivore, but I am also unable to find who that is. I was also trying to find the original video that did a series of Instagram and KZbin influencers that ended up having to admit they had to quit carnivore because they became pre-diabetic. I am gonna do some more digging because I think that is helpful and necessary information for the general public. Sorry I couldn’t be of more immediate help.

but there is study on the plantbased diet to prove it the right one for humans and the most healthiest if you're eating whole foods plantbased that is the CHINA STUDY (Dr. Campbell and Dr. Esselstyne) done with the most amount of people and over 50 yr period, one of the lengthiest ever done. And then there is Raw vegan which is the most natural diet to humans and its easy to know what to eat, if u cannot make a mono-meal out of it , its not natural to the human diet along with a bit of nuts and seeds, ie: can u eat a plate full of mango's yes, can u eat a plateful of onions or garlic no (98% of people could not) that you could look up TC Fry lifescience book, that is the next step up from plantbased diet and its still plantbased.... Bonne Appetit !

@@4000marcdman The ethics of a diet raise important questions. We can both talk about how food culture affects ourselves and others. Strictly speaking anyway the only reason you'd do carnivore over a plant-based diet is because you want to justify your taste preferences. Even if we disregard veganism and look solely at the dietary components of plant-based vs carnivore you're still choosing the least healthy path to the desired result. Ethics, health, art, recreation and community are the five domains of diet.
