These birds are unbelievably brilliant and sweet and precious! I want one so bad, but I don't know that I could give it the highest level of care a bird can receive, because they deserve nothing less than the best care! Some day when I have the opportunity to devote all my time to a parrot or cockatoo, I will then adopt one and love it with all my heart.

But be aware that not everyone can look after your parrot if u wish to go away. It's a tie for nearly 30+ years. We had a gorgeous intelligent cairn terrier for nearly 15 years (he died from old age(, always worried about him (hardly went away), never left him alone more than 5 hrs at home. He was almost Human, understood everything, with a super personality.

here is my female Congo African Grey parrot. 17 yrs old, brilliant, maniacal, manipulative and full of herself. has a potty mouth, but also looks out the window and knows what she sees and talks all about it. Anyone who thinks these birds are just mimics, are ill informed. They are very intelligent. Silence is golden, unless you own an AGP, then it is highly suspicious.
@Carns20127 жыл бұрын
Debbie Brown Couldn't agree more! If anyone is under the impression that African Greys are just mimics they must understand that it is simply not true. These are sensitive inteligent creatures with feelings/emotions and personality. As well as the ere advanced capability to understand learn and communicate in it's owners language appropriately. They show love, affection, seek revenge, do things out of spite, instigate, are funny, etc. Awe inspiring

I have a male pigeon whos decided to adopt me. He's outside on the doorstep every morning sun and rain. I can see him sitting there waiting patiently through the glass of the kitchen door when I go out to put the toaster and coffee perculator on. He joins me for breakfast and even walks in to the lounge after he has eaten his in the kitchen but the golden rule which gets him thrown out if he breaks it is he has to stay on the floor where I can keep an eye on the poops and wipe them up... The bombs away is the bummer!

my conure was very protective over me and if someone came close he would puff up and tell them off and then ask them if they wanna fight and then would attack. it was pretty funny when I would take him to work(at a pet store) and the stupid people would try to touch him and he would threaten them and then tell them to fuck off. one lady got really offended and I explained don't touch him then.

You have a great bird My 26 year old male African Gray watched your video of her on the perch and instantly fell in love. He lite up and walked closer to the screen and tried to have a conversation with her. You know of course the bird will most likely out live you if you give her the proper diet. My grand daughter gets my bird when my time comes and she will most likely out live him by only a few years. Given proper diet and care grays can live around 60 years. Seed diets cut that in half.
