Their talent is amazing. The whole cast were trained actors and singers. The script writers and the musical writers were amazing too. I've always admired Hal Lindens singing. Its sad to thing that this sort of talent may be gone. Well that's why God helped us invent video recording so that generation after generation can see what talent really is.

I liked the 1930's Showboat musical movie. Carol could really sing, and she loved Cole Porter songs, but never made LPs. Hal Linden should have made LPs.

Does anyone remember a parody where Carol played this woman who was going to die, and on a cruise, she meets James Cocoa, who was with his warden, Harvey Korman. Carols' nurse was played by Vicki Laurence. Towards the end, Carol and James do WHAT NOT and meet, a year later, on the same cruise, as ghosts.

as good as this is, i would have loved to have them do the real stuff. can u imagine how great the "make believe i love you" duet would have sounded. almost mcdonald-and-eddy-like.
