Do you think they will set up on a rainy day? I know my mom makes divinity and it has been said time and time again, do not make if it is damp outside. Just wondering if this works the same way. Have you ever made them on a rainy day? I was going to make today but it is raining.
@carol-thriftychichousewife62313 жыл бұрын
They will set just fine if you follow the instructions to allow them to dry. The cornstarch and powdered sugar help to dry them out and set

Can you make fluff this way? Is fluff just not dried out for 5-24 hours?
@carol-thriftychichousewife62315 жыл бұрын
Stephanie Sullivan I have to confess that I’ve not made fluff. All of the recipes I found for marshmallow fluff use egg whites. This recipe when first made definitely is the texture of fluff but I think the gelatin will still make it set up even if you didn’t dry it out... I’m curious now and will continue to research 😉💕

@@carol-thriftychichousewife6231 yay! I want to learn to make fidge and this would probably make it taste amazing! Fudge sets up anyway, but you would just have to work quickly.

Thank you for sharing. Do you have a recipe for using a more natural sugar and not corn syrup? God bless!
@carol-thriftychichousewife62315 жыл бұрын
T hi! Sorry but there is no good substitute. Even America’s Test Kitchen agrees there’s no good alternative. They just aren’t the same without it. But at least we can get rid of the artificial stuff 😉. Blessings to you 💕

@carol-thriftychichousewife62315 жыл бұрын
veronica logan I just ate some that were in my mason jar for two months... still delicious 😋. In my experience mason jars keep them fresher longer than other storage methods. And it’s not that they go bad, they just aren’t soft.

Can you use Domino 10x with cornstarch without adding cornstarch?
@carol-thriftychichousewife62315 жыл бұрын
