Love this entire area including Topsail. Love early morning fishing and watching dolphins do their thing beyond the breakers. So glad to call NC home 🏡 🏖☀️😎🎣🦀🌊🦈 🐬

My great grand uncle use to own a gas station at Carolina beach in the 1930’s. He let my grandmother come over to run a store at the boardwalk in the 1930’s. She said it’s all gone now because of hurricanes. She use to tell me stories about working at the store.

Before last week, my absolute favorite thing to do was go to Carolina Beach and stay in a condo. I was married under one of those funky little trees across from FT Fisher museum in 1997 and we stayed in one of the two twin condos that are between Carolina Beach and Kerr beach. I won't name it but we always stay in that same condo every time we go. Now though I'm absolutely terrified of ever doing that again. I mean.. TERRIFIED!!! See, I'm actually a native of NC but my heart recently became a Floridian and i don't think I'm getting it back anytime soon... 💔 My question is.. Is anything being done about checking the condos at NC Beaches? I know Florida is cracking down on theirs and have even closed one or more already. Are y'all? I'm not trying to be fussy or whatever. I'm truly scared. The thought of ever laying my head down in a condo again is TERRIFYING!! Much less putting my child to bed in a condo. At this point, i don't know if I'll ever feel safe in any condo or hotel that size again. Plus the condo i love down there, is taller and maybe older than the condo in Florida. Thank goodness i decided not to rent one this year because I'd loose my money because there's no way i could do that. Not right now and i don't know if ever again. Please tell me, laws are being changed there. Please tell me buildings are also being checked thoroughly and repaired. But also there has to be a way for renters to learn if there is damage to a condo before renting one. Owners should know but how do we (renters) know about potential damage? It's the most horrible thing. These people, some owners and especially the clueless renters, just rented a condo and now children, moms, dads, grandparents etc. are basically stuck under this building. The poor family members will be lucky to get their loved one's body back and sadly, I'm really starting to doubt anyone will be found alive. I've cried for days over people I've never even met. No one should have to go through that. Ever!! I guess this bothers me so badly because of my love for renting a condo at the Beach. But Dear God, it's horrible. Everyday the news gets even worse than the day before. I'm going to post this comment on every video i can find down there, just praying that something will be done. I know neglect caused this to happen in Surfside but it can happen again and it will happen again if nothing is done. So i really need someone to tell me that something is being done. Please.. 🙏 Thanks and sorry if this seems fussy but oh my word, that mess is awful... 😢😢

What about rentals
@realcoastallife3 жыл бұрын
Are you asking for long term or short? There are plenty of vacation rentals in Carolina Beach but long term is more difficult depending on your budget.
