Captain Mike Taylor with good friend and show supporter Chris Ulmer of Crystal Coast Graphics head out after Spanish and King Mackerel. Lots of good trolling action and techniques with some nice fish!

Menhaden can be caught off my dock and I stock up for frozen bait. That was a really fast hook up on that first fish! Big Spanish-Kings tend to run below the Spanish. Hot action for sure! This is a great video. I have your channel featured on my channel. Thanks for the quality fishing and filming!

thanks for the information that was very educational. I would love to see a surf fishing episode in Wilmington with only lures. That would be epic

we were fishing about 1 mile off the beach on a live bottom... typically, these fish pile up nearshore within a few miles from june through october and they seem to bite well when the wind is from the SE, E, NE, N, or light breezes in any direction... they don't show up very well on S to SW strong winds.. they seem to push farther offshore and scatter out then... an 18ft boat is plenty if the conditionns are good. any live bottom, hard bottom, Aritificial Reef, Wreck, within a few miles of the beach or the tideline on a falling tide are all good places.

I have an 18ft 5 baycraft flats boat, would it be enough boat to go up to 3- 5 miles off shore to fish like this?
