Wow Carolyn, this was informative. I totally load up the refrigerator door and the rest of the fridge in our fifth wheel before we take off... I guess I've been lucky so far but now I know enough to be a lot more careful about loading the door. I am completely convinced that there isn't one thing that you can't do. Good luck with your steps next. With an RV it is always something. Safe travels Carolyn. 👍👍👍👍👍🙂

I live full time in my (similar to your) Class C....going on 5 years now and I have followed you, Carolyn, almost from the.time you first. started out. So, I'm sitting here in my RV watching this video about the refrigerator door falling off and I'm thinking, OMG, that can happen?? I know now that I had better pay attention to how much weight I have in the door....which is quite a bit! Thank you for this "lesson learned" at your expense! Gayle Moore

There was a restaurant in Nashville in the late 60s, called the Natchez Trace Cafe, an old-fashioned, meat-and-three vegetable kind of place, right at the edge of Centennial Park (where McDonald's is now, if people know Nashville). They were very nice (and godly) folks, with an unadvertised, back-door policy of giving hungry people meals if they just asked. I learned from hippies, with whom they were very popular people, although I ate at home then, and never tried it.

Hi Carolyn hi pretty Sadie girl 🥰🐾🥰🐾 Wow double whammy the fridge and the stairs OMG🙀 Great job replacing that door on your own!! Hope you got the stairs fixed easily? I'm having issues with my stairs right now and getting ready to leave on a long roadtrip Wed. I just need to get the stairs up and and make them stay there!! Have a plastic step I can put outside my door when I stop to get gas etc. And 1 of my jacks doesn't want to go all the way up. Have to find someone that knows how to drain the hydraulic fluid cuz I'm not trying to hear that beeping noise for 18hrs while driving!! Also have to find a way to secure my apt size frig I bought when my big frig stopped working. Sucks when things break and on a regular basis in this rv life. GREAT small businesses, love the Lollymop name❣ Have so much respect for healers/artists and poets💕💕 Thought of Capone when Sadie was looking at you with those big beautiful brown eyes❤🎄

Hello Carolyn, isn't that the way it goes? If it's not one thing its another, and not just in RV's. On my little farm we always had a saying: "If it ain't broke, it ain't ours". It seems I'm constantly going from one thing to another, trying to keep things going. But I guess that's life. We'll have time to rest when we're dead! #Broommate.

Try not to give up because of things breaking. We live in a site built home and we just had to have the furnace replaced. Our deck is begging to be repaired or replaced. Our water pressure is very low here in Ruidoso, New Mexico...no fix. We have an rv that we travel in. Repairs happen. Tyrannical possessions! They demand to be repaired. Right? The rv repairs are so much cheaper.

Yes, normally you should listen to the other side, as long as they are thoughtful and intelligent. In this case, you get a pass. 🤣 (Don't @ me, people, IDGAF.) And yes, that ridiculous mess has a name, that I didn't learn until decades after I started noticing things wearing out faster than they should - it's called "planned obsolescence", source: "The Venus Project". I first noticed it with razors. Now they don't even bother to hide it anymore. Tbh, I'm sorry to say this, but it might be time to think about getting out of that rig and into...? I remember you saying at one point you might ready for a change. Maybe all these repairs are signs that a change is something to consider. I'm sure your intuition will show you the way. 😊

And when my husband did the toilet the water line to the toilet broke cuz it was so rusty got water everywhere. Seemed it was one thing after another. I guess we all have to good through this.

Thinking about how happy you seemed back in New England in autumn... it got me to thinking what the best option would be for an aging camper ... and their owner 😉 I'm liking the idea of a little out of the way piece of woodland up north for spring thru fall.. and a trip to warmer climes for winter. I've been a 'snowbird' for about 12 years.. its the best of both worlds. These days having a 'safe haven' seems the best way to go. Stay safe my friend. 😻
