all1rog It was probably going to be after “Soliloquy” to allow Billy enough time to return from the beach. It would have been nice to see Jigger enjoying himself with the others, as he does at the clambake later. As I’ve mentioned on another post, the principals in the film seldom interact with the chorus.

@@aminsadeghpour1549 “Blow High, Blow Low” and “You’re a Queer One, Julie Jordan” were not in the film but the second song was used instrumentally at least. There are production photos on the special features of the dvd which also includes the omitted songs, and they were also on the cd. Mr Snow’s intro to “When the Children Are Asleep” is also on the cd, and so is Billy’s “sweater” verse in “If I Loved You”, and so is the lament of Arminy (married woman) at the end of “Stonecutters Cut It On Stone”, but with slightly less risqué lyrics. I’m guessing these were all originally supposed to be in the film as well.From more production photos featuring fairground celebrities it’s likely that the original scene at the carousel was also intended to be longer.
