If you can, try staying on and record as the carousel makes one final rotation from unload to load but not before the curtain lights change and flash from blue to green and vice versa as the music plays on, if you can’t, leave the camera behind and grab video and audio of the ride and you’ve got yourself a nice souvenir of what might be the most beautiful Disney pop-style duet.

It's nice to see the comments here expressing joy with C of P. I have a feeling the higher ups at Disney don't think the same. It wouldn't surprise me to see Disney tearing down this attraction. After all, it's not based on a movie and there's no gift shop to generate money. Let us hope not. Excellent camera work Josh!

Love C.O.P! Regarding all the talk there is on how to update it.. . Well I've never felt they need to redo it top to bottom. It's still relevant to show early 20th century and the evolution of electrical technology. But I do think that the last scene needs to always evolve. In fact I had an idea of what they could do next, inspired by a previous incarnation of scene 4 that I only saw the other day. What they could do is do a full on future protection. Have the family set in a future scene much like what you saw on Horizons! Those Horizons dioramas were very believable. I got that idea when I saw the home the family were sat in (on a previous scene 4) and they had a vista of Progress City through the living room window (prototype Epcot city model) In fact, they could do that again! In terms of what they discuss, they could talk about things that we have right here and now in our lives as if they are things of the past e.g "remember the days when the Internet started with the dial tone?" So audiences can relate to the history of the Internet. But still make it seem like the family live in a time beyond modern technologies of today... like they could be overlooking a futuristic progress city or even an agriculturally rich desert like Horizons! (Wich would be an instant tribute/nod to G.E, Horizons and the link between the two attractions!) 👍 Just a thought! 😊

If you don't already have it, I'd HIGHLY suggest getting the 'Walt Disney and the 1964 World's Fair' CD boxset...the Carousel of Progress CD has some really interesting stuff on it, and the set's bonus CD is worth the price of admission, all by itself...; it only contains one track...a completely recorded and scored version of the Carousel that, for whatever reason, was never used, and never even available to the public until the boxset's release in 2009! :)
