It's too bad some of the people making videos about this carpet cleaner didn't watch this one first. So much disinformation from some of them. I even saw one where she added water to the Oxy Multiplier tank. Why do people refuse to read the directions that come with a product and then trash the product because it doesn't work like they think it should. Great video. Thanks, Shark!

This is the best home carpet cleaner we have ever had. Excellent cleaning power. The machine is very easy to clean and the pet tool is an absolute genius idea. No nasty mess gets into the hose. Great job as usual Shark!

I live in a rental and am trying to get cat urine out of one spot she goes. I’ve tried so many different cleaners. After cleaning the smell comes right back, I heard I can’t use any other solution in the shark machine but I need to try something for urine specifically. Will it ruin my machine? Otherwise how do I get the urine smell out ?

Great question! We don't recommend using different cleaning solutions because there is a potential for damaging the unit, not getting optimized cleaning performance, or the chemicals mixing that are not designed to mix. With this said, we recommend using the hand tool, so the OXY Multiplier combines with the Deep Clean Pro for boosted stain cleaning.

Hello, Jayruss. Thank you for your inquiry regarding the Shark CarpetXpert. You can store unused chemicals in the tanks. For long term storage, we recommend to store unused StainStriker in StainStriker tank off of the unit to prevent clogging/build up of the machine. Unused Carpet Xpert Deep Clean Pro should be discarded.

Model EX201 comes with a16oz Shark Stainstriker OXY Multiplier Formula, 12oz Shark CarpetXpert Deep Clean Pro Formula, 3.5" Reversible Bristle Tool, Hose-Cleaning Tool, Pet Mess Tool, and an Integrated Crevice Tool. Model EX205 come with 2-16oz Shark Stainstriker OXY Multiplier Formula, 2-12oz Shark CarpetXpert Deep Clean Pro Formula, 3.5" Reversible Bristle Tool, Hose-Cleaning Tool, Integrated Crevice Tool, Pet Mess Tool, Storage Tray, and a 7" Wide Path Tool.

Hey, Becky! The quick dry mode can be used to quickly dry the area, and reduce dry time, so no solution/water would come from the unit in this mode!

Looking at this on the info commercial on tv I can tell you the hand pick up hose is really to short, It should be at least 6' long you can do drapes with this if the hose was longer, or even the car from the ceiling to the carpet of a car. We owned a little green machine when Bissell first came out with them, the hose was long, the cord was 20' and it worked ok, but my wife loaned it out and the person used it to suck up blood. I wont use it anymore, so we bought a newer model, it was junk the suction was worthless, we have had 2 carpet cleaners from Bissell they always fall apart. Clog or you loose parts. We have owned a shark lift off for about ? 15 years it has been the best unit thus far and we have recommended it to others we also have 2 other shark floor cleaners and a steam mop. We still use the vibrating frt to back scrubber but you don't sell the cleaning stuff or the bottles for them anymore. These look like they pull up the water better. I won't ever buy a Bissell agine. The shark has been the best vacume

I tried to register EX205 bought from the COSTCO store in plano, TEXAS. The registration page said that EX205 is not a valid model number. What shoud I do then? After reading the manual and watching the video for several times, I feel confident to use this new baby.

Thank you for reaching out to us! We're happy to hear your carpet is free from stains. To add cleaning solution to the CarpetXpert Tank, Lift the Tank by the handle to detach it, then remove the cap. Fill warm water up to the WATER fill line. Please avoid water hotter than 140°F (60°C). Then add Shark Deep Clean Pro up to the CONCENTRATE fill line, and reattach the cap before reinstalling the Tank. To fill the StainStriker tank, lift the tank by its sides to detach it, and remove the cap. Fill the Shark OXY Multiplier up to the MAX FILL line.

On the cannister it shows the water fill line and then above shows concentrate line so for the deep clean bottle you just add until you reach the concentrate line on the plastic cannister. And for the oxy multiplier you add to the other blue cannister and that one you just fill up with only the oxy multiplier solution. Mine took the whole blue bottle the machine came with. I'm assuming the oxy multiplier will last a little while since it took the whole bottle but I could be wrong. The deep clean bottle is still full as that one is diluted with water.

Hello. That is a great question. Both Tanks will need to be full to use the Shark CarpetXpert regardless of what type of cleaning you want to do.

There is no vacuum mode. You just vacuum your rug first of course like any other rub cleaner. Using without water will ruin your machine

I've been using Shark products for years, having switched from Dyson, and have always been very satisfied. However, I purchased the Shark CarpetXpert with Stainstriker in December 2023. After using it three times, it stopped dispensing the solution in deep clean mode. I used it exactly as directed. Walmart wouldn't let me exchange it, the troubleshooting tips are useless, and I've had a terrible time reaching customer care. I'm very disappointed. 😡😡😡😡

DO NOT BUY THE SHARK STAIN STRIKER!!! It does NOT VACUUM ANY OF THE WATER WHEN IN THE STAND UP MODE. I had to use the hand nozzle to pick up all the water it dumped on my RUG because it wouldn’t suck up WHEN IN vacuum mode. This is a waste of money the worst machine I’ve ever bought. I will be going back to Bissell for a rug washer. Shark stick to making regular vacuums.! This was so disappointing!!!!!👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
