I keep the oreck on the whole time going down the stairs alot less stress on the motor. Turning on and off 30 times will damage it..jst out of experience. Sweet Job!

I also keep it on all the way down.

Do you use a scrub brush on the 175 first and then a bonnet or is that just when using an oreck

How do you tell without asking, one rug from another. Or one kind of carpet from another? I don't wanna put wrong chemical on wrong carpet or rug? Suggestions? Thanks. Great job as always.
@greenrhinoproject3 жыл бұрын
Rugs have tags in corner. Carpet is mostly nylon or Polyester and sometimes wool. When you wet wool it smells like wet dog. If not sure jus use a wool safe product. Rugs on the other hand if your not sure pass it up to you learn more.

Enjoy your videos! Do you wet the pad on the oreck and 175 rotary machine when you are cleaning with a solution? If so how often do you need to reapply whatever you put on?
@greenrhinoproject3 жыл бұрын
Yes I do at begging not to much. You will not need to reapply what is on carpet from pre-spray is enough

With black upholstery & carpet should I use or do anything different and what to should I stay away from?
@greenrhinoproject3 жыл бұрын
As far as upholstery Be careful with cotton and wool especially white or off white don't leave to wet. Stay away from silk unless you educate yourself on it. In carpet use wool safe products on wool don't mater color. On Rugs stay away from rayon and silk rugs an try to do vlm on wool. As far as nylon or polyester its very easy to clean ether carpets or rugs.

As of right now I'm only doing vlm encap during the day work my job at night so I can save enough money for my hwe setup

Hi Tommy just stumbled onto your awesome channel. When do you use VLM? Is it only for certain carpets? When do you use an extractor? Just wondering the difference between the two forms of cleaning. Appreciate your time and have a great day!
@greenrhinoproject3 жыл бұрын
both methods work an all carpet its the chemistry that is important

Where do you clean the pads? Is that enough of an expense or time consumer to be factored in? If I was just starting VLM how many pads should I start with? I am assuming 300 to 500 ft.² per pad I’m thinking 10 to 15 quality pads do you think that’s fair? They are not cheap as I’m sure you know
@greenrhinoproject3 жыл бұрын
For most residential 5 max.. so 10 would be plenty

Looks like your machine is just scrubbing stains away but it’s not extracting and lifting out dirt hair rubbish debris. You’re just not even using water steam or vacuum process. That’s a half ass job that you’re doing and it’s not cleaning the carpet.
