This was filmed 11 years ago and it was roughly the time my ex was at the university of Huddersfield, she saw him on the grounds and shouted in her excitement "Look it's Patrick Swayze" still makes laugh too this day 😂😂😂

In my humble opinion Patrick Stewart is without doubt one of the best actors of all time. I saw him first on Star Trek: TNG but came to truly appreciate his talent when watching his Shakespearian performances and portrayal of Capt. Ahab. He is an all around wonderful human and I hope to meet him some day.

Give thanks to the county of Yorkshire for providing us with talent of Sir Patrick Stewart, Sir Michael Palin, Dame Judy Dench, Brian Blessed (Who definitely deserves a knighthood), Ade Edmondson, Malcolm McDowell.... And I suppose Jeremy Clarkson and Captain Slow should get a spot on the podium...

I just stumbled upon this on KZbin courtesy of the algorithm. Enjoying it. I saw Sir Patrick in The Tempest after it had finished in the park and ended up on Broadway. It’s still to this day the most amazing thing I’ve seen on stage or film. So powerful and brilliantly done.

I wonder if Patrick Stewart would be willing to do a satnav voice. "Engage left turn in 50 metres" "Turn right in 10 metres. Make it so." "Number One, turn back you're going the wrong way!" Stuff like that. :)

I cannot begin to describe how much respect I have for Patrick Stewart. The man is capable of doing Shakespeare flawlessly and performing brilliantly in dramatic roles such as Captain Piccard in Star Trek & Professor X in the X-Men films but...he doesn't get so smug that he's got his head up his own ass. When you look at his resume it's amazing to think that he's spent a lifetime doing amazing work but he was still willing to do voice work on American Dad! Just that alone says so much about him.

Mr. Stewart, I've been a fan of you and your body of work since TNG first aired back in 1987. Your tact and eloquence never ceases to inspire and impress me. You are truly in a very exclusive class...if not one by yourself. By the way... I second the notion that you do voice work for navigational systems because while your voice is firm and authorative it is also at the same time soothing which would allow people to find their way more safely and with fewer incidents.

Patrick should just put a camera in his car, and every day when he's driving he could just talk about whatever... put it on TV.... instant gold. "You know, I once had a pair of... green socks and... (just let the cyclist by here) and... my dog ate one of them. Swear to God." Stuff like that. Gold.

What a neatly spent half hour! Thank for this, Robert! I first saw you host a show when the old (and, in my opinion, the single best version of the all) Scrapheap Challenge aired on Discovery Channel. Great stuff ever since! I do like it how Sir Patrick Stewart changes his tone of voice to a more "Picardish", bellowing timbre at 12:10, when he briefly enumerates the various parts of a Star Trek set. :) Cheers from this part of Europe!

What I really love about this is the informal feel and flow of it. no Q&A or performance. you get a chance to see the people as they actually are. What interests them, what annoys (in this case, squirrels apparently) and just how they talk when it is person to person. What an awesome idea!

I've always said, "Right", "Yeah", or "Uh huh" to someone who's talking. I thought it showed I was actively listening and showed understanding in what they were saying. I know the gentleman driving thinks the same way, but after listening to this interview, I may not do it again. It comes off as being bored or rushing the person who's talking. As if you're saying, "Right, get to the point.", though, I may just be noticing it because I do it myself. I've had my Dad say things like, "You know all about it already, huh?" when I say, "Right" after he says something. I thought it was just him being an ass but maybe it's me. D:

***** I think interrupting would be obviously rude, but not saying anything wouldn't be would it? I mean if he were not paying attention and just staring out the window, sure, but making the appropriate head and mouth movements. Like if he were to give a nod or a smile, at the right times, then I wouldn't assume that as being rude. I almost feel that it's a more polite way to interact, because you're not stepping on their story with sound.
