Hands down, best ceramic coating video out there. Never thought someone would make a objective video with Cquartz finest and professional to compare with any consumer grade coating (cquartz uk in this one). Love how Sandro gives honest opinions outlining the pluses and minuses of products as opposed to just pushing the upsides. Keep up the good videos, would definitely love to see a video comparing one layer vs two layers of cquartz

I get a feeling that they are all very similar and the one key factor you (or the customer) is paying for is the warranty of the coating. They all would probably last the same amount of time if they were all professionally applied with heat lamps.

I am not a professional detailer but do enjoy both consumer offerings from CarPro. *Accredited* Does that mean you have had to prove your abilities or skill set to a manufacture to be able to show their logo as well as product on any advertising . If that's the case that is BS and I don't agree with it . I've seen detailers deliver great results by using the lower end of the market products and at all stages in their career pro and AM . Granted I don't always see or hear about the lifespan of some products ,but I think it all comes down to prep and commitment at the end of the day . If you don't have those two I don't believe it matters if the product is decentred from a gold cup. As always Sandro an excellent informative honest video . Daz

@CarCraftAutoDetailing
@CarCraftAutoDetailing 2 жыл бұрын
Based on what I’ve tested I’d say that having a dash of graphene in a coating doesn’t make it break any coating. So I wouldn’t let it alone determine what coating I go for as at least right now, graphene in car waxes sealants and coatings hasn’t really proven to be all that different to products without them in term of performance. That doesn’t mean a coating with some graphene can’t be good, it just means that you shouldn’t go for a coating just because it has graphene, I’d base my choice on performance or reputation and not the ingredient list, hope that helps mate.

It works, the paint gets super slick. But, i would like to hear from you if you advise to use Reload or not, because hydrofoam doesn't last much. Do you see really any advantage in using Reload? @@CarCraftAutoDetailing Thanks! How about durability?

I recently applied CQUK 3.0 to my car, and found that regardless of whether I wiped it off immediately or waited 2-3 minutes (temp roughly 50f) it just seemed to be a streaky mess. Under my inspection light it just seemed to keep smearing around rather than wipe down cleanly to a streak free finish. I think it took me something like an hour and a half just to coat my hood and roof of my car because wiping it down after applying it was taking so long. Is this out of the ordinary? Is it supposed to wipe down 100% cleanly or will the minor streaking take care of itself as it cures? My gut tells me it should wipe down pretty cleanly.

Car Craft Auto Detailing I guess streaky mess was probably bad wording on my part. It was more like the smearing you describe in your applications tips/tricks video for CQUK3.0. It eventually stopped smearing, it just took awhile and more wiping than I thought was reasonable. I still have to do the passenger side of my car and the rear bumper, so I’ll try shrinking my sections way down and see if that helps any. When I was trying to dial in the application/removal timing the smearing seemed to happen regardless of immediate removal or if I gave it some time. Would make sense if it was flashing too fast for me to even do a section as big as I was trying to do (1/4 of my hood at a time, for example.) I’ll report back when I knock out the rest of my car. Hopefully I didn’t botch what I’ve already done! It is my first coating application, after all.

Just a follow up; Finished the rest of my car with CQUK, and it went pretty smoothly. Worked sections smaller than I was before, and made an effort to "hustle" and wipe it off quickly after I finished applying it. I found it to be a lot easier to wipe down this time around. Swapped out my towels I was wiping down with fairly often (probably more than I needed to) just to be safe and save myself any potential headaches. I still encountered a section here and there that was more stubborn to wipe down, but I think that was likely due to needing to flip/swap out my suede applicator at the time. I think going forward, I'll probably have a lot more suede applicators on hand so I can change them often the next time I do an application. I'll admit after the first couple tries with the product I was disappointed because guys like you make it look so easy in the videos to just throw it on there and wipe it down. But I think it took me maybe an hour to knock out the rest of my trunk lid, rear bumper, entire driver side of my car, front bumper, and headlights and taillights. It was actually a fun process once I got the hang of it. If it holds up, I'll be really happy with the time invested in it.

How long would 3 layers of uk 3.0 last on a car compared to 2 layers?
@yehweichong6741

@@CarCraftAutoDetailing I had CQ Finest done but I think it's just 1 layer. The water spots were pretty bad after a few months... Are 2 layers recommended to the detailer by CQ? If not, I doubt any detailer would do a double job (double layer).

What are the stickers for? Flash example?

The stickers are just to stick onto a car window to show the car is coated with a CQuartz coating.

How did you like the Mille/S2Cut/Low Lint Lambswool combo?! I have all of those and haven’t had a chance to try them together, I have heard the Mille doesn’t like cutting pads without a foam interface! Also, how do you think the Scholl Shock 2 Cut compares to CarPro ClearCut?
@JordanWells

Thank you for the reply! I typically use the Rupes coarse wool pad on my Mille..did you feel like the wool with no foam interface was more difficult to control? Did you feel like they cut more than the Rupes wool?

I appreciate the replies! I need to get out and test them as well to see how they do. Great videos 🙌🏻

The other important fact is that 99.9% of the clients won’t maintain their véhicule to make any coating last. Most of the detaillers around they put cheap coatings and charge the same price as the reL stuff. They are using cheap compounds and cheap products to clean your véhicules.

So your telling me that most detailers will use a different product than what you asked for? Wow. I'm about to get car detailed, how can I be assured if they will use the right products i wanted them to use like ceramic coating for example?
