Hands down, best ceramic coating video out there. Never thought someone would make a objective video with Cquartz finest and professional to compare with any consumer grade coating (cquartz uk in this one). Love how Sandro gives honest opinions outlining the pluses and minuses of products as opposed to just pushing the upsides. Keep up the good videos, would definitely love to see a video comparing one layer vs two layers of cquartz

*Accredited* Does that mean you have had to prove your abilities or skill set to a manufacture to be able to show their logo as well as product on any advertising . If that's the case that is BS and I don't agree with it . I've seen detailers deliver great results by using the lower end of the market products and at all stages in their career pro and AM . Granted I don't always see or hear about the lifespan of some products ,but I think it all comes down to prep and commitment at the end of the day . If you don't have those two I don't believe it matters if the product is decentred from a gold cup. As always Sandro an excellent informative honest video . Daz

Hey sandro. I know this video is a few years old but I was stuck and wanted to know if inshould go down the path of finest reserve or a graphine coating? Its for a black SUV
@CarCraftAutoDetailing2 жыл бұрын
Based on what I’ve tested I’d say that having a dash of graphene in a coating doesn’t make it break any coating. So I wouldn’t let it alone determine what coating I go for as at least right now, graphene in car waxes sealants and coatings hasn’t really proven to be all that different to products without them in term of performance. That doesn’t mean a coating with some graphene can’t be good, it just means that you shouldn’t go for a coating just because it has graphene, I’d base my choice on performance or reputation and not the ingredient list, hope that helps mate.

I recently applied CQUK 3.0 to my car, and found that regardless of whether I wiped it off immediately or waited 2-3 minutes (temp roughly 50f) it just seemed to be a streaky mess. Under my inspection light it just seemed to keep smearing around rather than wipe down cleanly to a streak free finish. I think it took me something like an hour and a half just to coat my hood and roof of my car because wiping it down after applying it was taking so long. Is this out of the ordinary? Is it supposed to wipe down 100% cleanly or will the minor streaking take care of itself as it cures? My gut tells me it should wipe down pretty cleanly.
@stevensparks196 жыл бұрын
Car Craft Auto Detailing I guess streaky mess was probably bad wording on my part. It was more like the smearing you describe in your applications tips/tricks video for CQUK3.0. It eventually stopped smearing, it just took awhile and more wiping than I thought was reasonable. I still have to do the passenger side of my car and the rear bumper, so I’ll try shrinking my sections way down and see if that helps any. When I was trying to dial in the application/removal timing the smearing seemed to happen regardless of immediate removal or if I gave it some time. Would make sense if it was flashing too fast for me to even do a section as big as I was trying to do (1/4 of my hood at a time, for example.) I’ll report back when I knock out the rest of my car. Hopefully I didn’t botch what I’ve already done! It is my first coating application, after all.
@stevensparks196 жыл бұрын
Just a follow up; Finished the rest of my car with CQUK, and it went pretty smoothly. Worked sections smaller than I was before, and made an effort to "hustle" and wipe it off quickly after I finished applying it. I found it to be a lot easier to wipe down this time around. Swapped out my towels I was wiping down with fairly often (probably more than I needed to) just to be safe and save myself any potential headaches. I still encountered a section here and there that was more stubborn to wipe down, but I think that was likely due to needing to flip/swap out my suede applicator at the time. I think going forward, I'll probably have a lot more suede applicators on hand so I can change them often the next time I do an application. I'll admit after the first couple tries with the product I was disappointed because guys like you make it look so easy in the videos to just throw it on there and wipe it down. But I think it took me maybe an hour to knock out the rest of my trunk lid, rear bumper, entire driver side of my car, front bumper, and headlights and taillights. It was actually a fun process once I got the hang of it. If it holds up, I'll be really happy with the time invested in it.
