It took me two days to complete the entire process. Wash with chemical guys clean slate using two bucket method, fall out remover, clay, tape up the car, polish three step, ipa wipe down and apply ceramic coating. The paint on my Tesla was pretty clean as I have paint protection on the front and I wax the car regularly. There were a few swirls in the paint, but very minor.

U should add that before the coating u can apply Carpro essence. Carpro esssence gives an AMAZING gloss level. And is often used as a fine polish. And if u get minor defects or scratches it's possible to polish it up with carpro essence PLUS. That way u add sio2 and fill minor defects without destroying the coating. Your car looks fantastic. If you are not getting car detailing companies begging you to let them sponsor your videos you will be but honestly the reason I liked your vids so much is your were not trying to push any particular product which makes your sincerity come through in the video. New sub here for sure, great work my friend.

+Tim datoolman Hey thanks Tim! I appreciate it! You're right, I never want to be biased just to one company. I'm simply looking for who makes the best products for each category and which products respond to my needs. And yup, pretty much all the companies are noticing my channel's qui ascent. I got my first sponsored video with my OBSSSSD review (which I fully disclosed in the video as all KZbinrs are supposed to) and that helps me reinvest in my channel and help me grow. But I will always make sure of two things: 1) even in sponsored videos, they have to be products I like and use 2) I have to have full control of what I say about the items. How did you discover my channel?

LOL! Yes that was obvious to me. I have been shopping for a ceramic coating for a couple of months now and watching your video made my mind up since you used the car pro brand with excellent results I decided to go with that brand because of that...and the price was reasonable for a consumer grade coating.
@verlicht6 жыл бұрын
I understand your good intent. But when you link products in your description with it linking back to you, this is an affiliate link. And thus also sponsored as you get a few % off each purchase, which (by law) should also be disclosed in your video. You were probably not aware of this, that's why I'm just mentioning it. Loved the video btw, one of the best vid's off all time on the subject of applying ceramic coatings. And for once, someone who actually knows what all the steps are you have to undertake. Oh you got a lot of great products there! I share that love of buying and trying new products, seeing the results and so happy that the car looks even better! :) Nobody has had a chance to test the long term durability of the 303 Touchless Sealant yet as it's a fairly new product. So I'll report back in a few months. But 303 is a trust-worthy brand and I have no reason to doubt their durability claims of "up to 6 months". Plus you can reapply as often as you with if you see the water beading starting to diminish, or better yet, top that with Bead Maker. :). Have you tried Bead Maker yet? OMG!
@CHANNELCHECKER3815 жыл бұрын
@@PanTheOrganizer I have not got to try bead maker yet. The anticipation is killing me lol. I just got it in the mail yesterday and the weather has not been cooperative. I like trying new products and finding just the right mix. I used to have all the time in the world and my cars/trucks were always spotless. However, now I'm a family man with children and all the sports cars and lifted trucks I've had in the past have been turned into SUVs and crossovers lol. I'm currently remodeling my house, helping with the kids and working full time, it doesn't leave much time for my own selfish needs(detailing). That's why I was so attracted to 303's touchless sealant. I also have three vehicles to maintain, so 303 will help me tremendously if the durability is there. Pan: As always, I love your 'how to' instruction. You convinced me (and gave me the confidence) to apply a coating (Opti-Gloss Coat) and leather protectant (Gyeon Leather Shield) to my seats in both cars this weekend. Now, I realize I don't know 'what next?' (maybe a future video?): 1. What's the best way to maintain these both of these coatings? Any suggested products to use for appearance and durability? 2. Since you've stated the Leather Shield is good for 12 months, is there anything that needs to be done to properly re-apply? Maintaining the Opti-Gloss Coating? 3. Since you've stated the Opti-Gloss Coating is good for up to 24 months, are there any particular steps or processes that have to be done to properly re-apply? God Bless America and Canada! Jack

Hey Pan, I’ve been using Car Pro Cquartz on all of my ceramic jobs and my own personal vehicle. It’s the only ceramic coating that I’ve tried. I recently saw that Adams came out with a graphene ceramic coating that supposedly lasts upwards of 7 yrs and offers more protection/hydrophobic properties than regular ceramic coatings. What are your thoughts on it? Have you tried it? I’d love to see a video review from you! Thanks! Keep up the awesome work!

If you have it done by professional, they’ll charge you $500-$2000 for this. If you buy tools yourself, that will be only fraction of the cost compare to hiring the professional.

Always Never buying the tools will probably be the same. I bought the tools and learned my self and no I didn’t mess up my paint or car and it came out beautiful but it wasn’t cheap. Rupes polisher alone cost over 300 and that’s without the pads and creams. Cquartz alone is 80. Only reason I didn’t take it to a shop is because I really wanted to learn and because they quoted me over 1k. I spent like 700-800 but now I’m detailing friends and family’s cars for 200-300 to get my money back and then some for a turbo lol

How do you remove all of the old wax, I watched your video and you never really explained which part does that? Also how do you know all of the old wax is gone? Thanks alot man! Love your videos!
@PanTheOrganizer6 жыл бұрын
Hi Brad. There are many methods to remove (strip) old layers of waxes or paint sealants. You typically start with a pre-wash using a stripping soap, like Purple Power Vehicle and Boat Wash, which is alkaline based (pH 11). In the wash stage, you can use a stripping shampoo like Chemical Guys Clean Slate or Adam's Strip Wash. But the majority of the old layers of protection is removed during the paint polishing stages (compound and polish) as those are abrasives and remove a thin layer of clear coat as well. You know that all the old wax is gone when water doesn't bead on the paint anymore. If it just lays flat on the paint and sheets off very slowly, you know you have no protection left, and that's exactly what we want before applying ceramic coatings.

First off I was super impressed with your video and subscribed to your channel. I just learned about ceramic coating and looking to do it on my car. My car isn't any special but I have been doing alot of work on it. I have painted my rims a textured paint. Then using the same paint around the bottom the car, bumper. Chromed my rotors, calipers, shoes, ect. It is only a 2008 Ford Focus but have been having fun trying to do some things to make it unique. Initially I tried to plexidip my rims because I have a friend who has it on their car and it looked great and seemed like lasted several years. I sanded my rims then tried the plexidip but was an epic fail. I absolutely love to detial my car right down to my engine and door jams, I don't mess around. It's funny because being a female I know about clay barring, which throws guys off. They figure what would a girl know about it but I am super thorugh to the point that I am almost OCD about it. I get people stopping me because of how the car looks. I want to ceramic coat my car especially before winter. I am in the Buffalo NY area and we get some crazy weather. There are some questions that I have and would love to get your advice and techniques tips. 1. Its fall here and temps are in the low 60's. What is the ideal temp or coolest temps that would be best?! 2. I recently clay barred my car about 2 months ago. I haven't driven it and has been in my garage. Do you think I should redo this step?? 3. From what I have seen the proper steps should be, wash, dry, polish, buff, spray the isopropyl alcohol then ceramic coat. (Hopefully I got that right) what type of polish is acceptable or what should I look for?? 4. I already put a coat of Migiures ceramic wax and buffed before I learned about coating. Should i do anything before I ceramic coat?? 5. Could you please tell me about ceramic boosters? How often to apply it? Could I use the current ceramic wax as a booster that could go on top of the coating? 6. Typically when you use those tiny bottles how long or how many times will it cover a vehicle? I think I covered all my questions and look forward to your responses! Thank you for helping me understand about ceramic coating and keep up the good work guys!

Hi Pan. Have a few questions. Just applied Cquartz UK 3.0 about 3 mo the ago and results are great. However, a rock chip hit my car the other day and left four tiny marks. They’re not deep, as most of the marks are hidden when wet, so I know hasn’t cut down through clear coat. But my question is: (1) Can I polish it out with regular compound/polish and a white/orange pad? I have Menzernas 1000/2400/3800 line and Chemical Guys V series. (2) And if so, do I need to redo the entire panel with Cquartz or can I just redo that one small section (about 6x6 in). The marks are on side of drivers door.

I gather they use the suede cloth and block vs a sponge or micro fiber pad to minimize the amount absorbed, and greatly extending the effective coverage. ( no doubt a microfiber pad could absorb a whole bottle) Is there another kind of applicator that doesn't absorb lots, but which is easier to use? U r da man!

First, thanks for the positive feedback about my videos. Much appreciated. Welcome to my channel. You discovered one of the biggest car detailing channels on KZbin as we surpassed 965,000 subscribers and we have over 130 million views! I have been detailing for 26 years and I love to share my knowledge and passion with my viewers. You found the right channel to help you learn everything about detailing. To answer your question, there have been a few improvements since this tutorial launched, and there are now more different applicators that can be used for applying ceramic coatings. Here are some of my favourite if you want to buy in bulk: amzn.to/3vV1nIO amzn.to/3vPU9pL amzn.to/4964aNP If you just want a single one: bit.ly/42djNRl bit.ly/3Sf5kzO bit.ly/3SaDnsM Also here's my more recent ceramic coating application tutorial: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qaK0iomgraukgZI

I am a recent newbie part time detailer at a multi brand luxury dealership, and thought I would search for a couple things that were interesting to me in the detailing world. mainly newer technology and time savers. And this and acrylic are two subjects, as we actually use a similar professional level product. lovely car by the way.
