Thank you for this. I've been using Gyeon Q2 Tire for quite a while but it just doesnt last on the Hankook tyres on my car, whereas it lasted forever on the Bridgestones I had before; more evidence that certain dressings work better than others with certain tyres. Tire Express lasts for a day or so in the rain; hence being out on the hunt for another dressing. This might be one to try!

That is something that might remain a mystery for all time isn’t it , why do they work better with one rubber compound and not the other 🤷🏻♂️ If you do try it come back and let me know how you get on with it 👍

I’m yet to try this, heard lots of good things and as you proved here it looks good and lasts well but I probably have enough tyre dressing for this life and the next so I’m going to hold back. Hawk tuah back at ya

Can't say I'm particularly blown away by this product. But then Garage Therapy came to the show a LOT earlier. And I think the tyre serum is just better. It really seems to condition the rubber rather than just sit on the surface.
@GMDetails5 ай бұрын
That’s what I feel!, DarkSide does just seem to sit on top and collect all the crud where I know with tyre serum it does indeed ‘soak in’ 👍
@AntEloftheHouseofEl5 ай бұрын
@GMDetails Exactly! You know what it reminds me of? A more durable version of Perl!
@GMDetails5 ай бұрын
It would be interesting to find out if Perl was the base product of DarkSide 🤔
@AntEloftheHouseofEl5 ай бұрын
@GMDetails oh for sure! Would need chemically testing or something I'd imagine? Can't sew Carpro saying "Oh yeah, we just whacked a bit of SI02 in Perl and rebranded it!" 🤣

Thanks for the demo. I really want to try this, but I've soooo much left of the GT Tyre Serum that I can't justify it. I'm guessing Yum tyre dressing or DIY Detail's, because they're the other ones I fancy trying

Yeah you’ll not see a YUM’s product on this channel 😂😂

Agree on the pump dispenser Graeme, absolutely hate them for tyre dressing products. Gyeon Express has the same & I got rid of it instantly for a pop top dispenser. Not a fan of dressings that leave that greasy film either, its awful to clean the tyre. One of the main reasons I stopped using megs endurance years ago.

@GMDetails Tacsystems Tire Dressing for the family cars & Waxaddict Tyre Conditioner on my own. Both superb.

Nice neat review, as always.. I' have quite a liking for CarPro prodcucts, and I've yet to find one which I consider bad. I've used Perl for my Tyres up until now which I wouldn't say is a Tyre dressing per se, but it does quite a good (if Glossy) job... I think I'll give this a go in the near future. Thanks for sharing with us. PS: What is your Tyre 'undress' product of choice?
@GMDetails5 ай бұрын
Thanks mate, most preferred undress product is def Autoglanz Rebound, I helped in the development of the product and was just pipped at the post with the name but Rebound is very good 😅

That is a brand I have never tried but I have been swapping between GT Serum my long term product and TW Graphene which I quite like.
@GMDetails5 ай бұрын
I’ve seen a lot more ‘conditioning’ types emerging inc graphene ones , not sure about how graphene can help a tyre dressing but that’s what’s next on the new tyres 🤔

Great video and review. Nice how it calms down to the satin look I like. However the state of that wash mitt afterwards does kind of put me off a little. Maybe I've just gotten used to GT Tyre Serum lol.
@GMDetails5 ай бұрын
I def don’t like how it seems to sit on the tyre and not absorb like tyre serum, after washing the mitt it’s still got dirt on it so that’s not great either 🤔
@paulquickmire41405 ай бұрын
@@GMDetails like I said I think GT tyre serum for conditioning and/or protecting the rubber just seems to out perform its competition. Granted I haven't tried a lot but the couple I've tried come second best all the time.

@paulquickmire4140 exactly my thoughts too Paul!, without sounding like an out right GT Fanboy it’s pretty damn hard to beat!!

I like GT Serum and Darkside but it does need a wipe off to look right for me.

Maybe that wipe off prevents the build up of gunk around the sidewall when you clean it ??

Ive used this stuff and it don't last more than 2 weeks , tyres cleaned with with carpro tyre cleaner but Darkside fades in my opinion and i put this on the same parr as Endurance
@GMDetails5 ай бұрын
Personally I’d see the point of using carpro retyre BEFORE the sealant to get it as clean as possible to make the sealant last but isn’t it pointless continuing to use it if you have a product protecting the tyre?, that’s like applying a wax to your car and cleaning every week with a decon wash , throught the test I cleaned the tyres each time with a wheel mitt and wheel shampoo , I reckon that’s why you haven’t seen the product last as long 🤔

The bristles will fall out after a few applications, well it happened to me 👍🏻

As I said been using that one for around a year and it’s not even lost so much as a single bristle , maybe different products will affect the brush differently tho 🤔
@kriskelly64585 ай бұрын
I’ve had the carscope one for 4 years and the bristles have started coming away very recently. It works really well on low profile tyres, and water based products. I would definitely buy a few of those Temu ones… £2 for over a year’s use.

Similar results with DarkSide on the Golf... 3mths and needs doing again, be interesting to see how it copes with a Scottish winter being a sealant and quite hydrophobic even when almost out. I know what's next, and it's so green, it's apparently brought Dolphins back to the Clyde 😂🐬🏞

Did you get all the crap it gathers around the tyre over the duration too ? I’ll def try it again over winter just to see 👌
