Great demonstration! I just had the first coat of flyby 30 perfect but due to winds dust settled on the screen after 20 min of application so i just used a leaf blower to blow off the dust but some of it was left on the screen that was visible on the suede applicator what can be done is it going to cause any damage? Please let me know

Hi Garvit, sorry for the slow reply! No, that should not be an issue unless it was pollen. Pollen on fresh coating could potentially hinder its durability.

I had the hardest time using this product. First doing it with that little cotton pad was a nightmare, takes forever and hurts your hand. And then to get it to disappear from the windshield takes many wipes and still won't all go away, had to use a towel. Maybe it was the fact that it was a hot/humid day but I used it one and time won't use it again. Just not worth the effort.

I will have to agree with especially since there are so many coatings that last just as long and are easy to apply

Thanks for your feedback! It is a little time consuming and for sure if you want something REALLY fast and easy to apply and don't need massive durability then just use Hydro2 Foam when your washing the car... 10 seconds to do the entire windshield. Can't argue with that :). I love Hydrofoam for the entire car.

Just applied it for the first time and I totally agree - it seems impossible to buff to a streak free finish with the applicator, although DISCLAIMER - I used the Gtechniq AP2 applicator because it is a bit larger and easier to use. IMHO though, the instructions should be updated to reflect reality - a towel is required for the final buffing. Now to see how this expensive TINY bottle of stuff performs.

Great video as always. Once applied this stays on visibly in the way it was applied. Would you recommend using a MF towel to level up the residue?

McKee's 37 glass polish is much milder than Ceriglass. A good option for new glass if any sort of coating is on it and you want to try something else.
@coreyc1150
@coreyc1150 Жыл бұрын
Thanks for the info Wescat, you actually do not need a "glass polish" at all for new glass. You can simply polish it with a paint compound already on hand and save some money :)

I see from the comments that some have difficulty buffing to a streak free finish. To speed things up, would it make sense to use a DA on a low speed, with some kind of a buffing bonnet? (or even just pressing down on the supplied cotton applicator, using a small backing plate) I find it strange that in general, final buffing for various tasks is almost always recommended to be done by hand - why not a machine?

@SkyCarCare
@SkyCarCare 5 ай бұрын
Hi Dave, great question. To remove a scratch, you will need to use a machine with the ceriglass and our Glasscut pads. There is a possibility it will leave micro marring (very fine swirls from the abrasives) behind even if you do remove the scratch.
@gregsullivan7408
@gregsullivan7408 Жыл бұрын
You appear to buff to a streak free finish as you go - correct? If so, that differs to the instructions - the instructions say to come back and buff off, once it's been applied. (and it says to use the same applicator)
@customerservice9897
@customerservice9897 Жыл бұрын
The idea is to apply multiple times but on the final application you are leaving it streak free as you go.

It's interesting how you say Ceriglass is very abrasive - I've been watching a few videos on glass scratch removal - the specialists start with cutting discs, and cerium oxide is the last step - it is the FINISHING polish. Are you absolutely sure it's quite as abrasive as you imply?
@SkyCarCare
@SkyCarCare Жыл бұрын
Hi Greg! Well... Lets add context. For professional of glass polishing then yes there are more aggressive things. For detailers that have never polished glass before they can screw things up QUICK and it is very aggressive. On the other hand, on most glass and in the hands of a professional Ceriglass is an AMAZING tool.

Hi Prashant! Actually I would strongly recommend DQuartz GFORCE from CARPRO. They replaced Forte with Gforce which is honestly a much easier to use and less finicky formula. Here is the video - kzbin.info/www/bejne/nGbLkGquhdySr9E&pp=ygUOZHF1YXJ0eiBnZm9yY2U%3D

@@SkyCarCare The biggest issue I have with Aquapel is actually finding non couterfiet versions online... Basically you have to pay full retail and make sure they're delivered in individual packaging. Other than that - I like how fast/easy it is to apply/remove. It was better when my car was new - now - 101,000 miles later - I have all of the wear tear on a typical OEM window. Have one left - will use it - this time I polish window, use gyeon prep, then try Aquapel.... after that... may try Forte!

I have a problematic(*) windshield and decided to use the Ceriglass. I used a DA with a small (5mm) offset and the 5" Carpro felt pad. No immediate problems are apparent, but I'm a bit concerned by the fact that the pad & windshield remained stone cold. I.e - did I actually do any meaningful polishing? I would have expected a bit of heat to have been generated. (*) not heavily scratched, but the water behaves in a very odd way when the wipers are used. Hard to describe.

Brand new vehicles will not need to have their glass polished unless there is very visible issues. Ceriglass is extremely abrasive and should only be used on glass that has been on the road for many miles. So in your case. Wash, eraser, and application of Forte would be perfect. -James
