The research procedures used are referred to the PMG procedure 214 V5 dated June 10th 1999 and the ECE procedure, directive 96/27/EC dated May 20th 1996. The target Explorer's occupants are Hybrid III 5th Percentile Female dummies, the bullet Explorer's occupants are SID-IIs 5th Percentile Female dummies.This test features a 2001 Ford Explorer impacting a 2000 Ford Explorer with Head/Torso Side Airbags at a 90° angle centered on its b-pillar.
