A 40 Mph (64 Km/h), 40% overlap crash test into an IIHS Moderate Overlap Deformable Barrier. (R94 Barrier)
The purpose of this test was to evaluate and compare vehicle and occupant responses during 40% frontal offset vehicle to deformable barrier crash tests. For this test, the subject vehicle was a 2001 Honda Civic Coupe with a 50th percentile Hybrid III driver dummy, and a 5th percentile Hybrid III right front passenger dummy.

Weighs the same as a Miata, is safer, more practical, and the coupés (EM2) share suspension geometry with the RSX (DC5) and Si (EP3) of the time, but the EM2 weighs 400 pounds less than the DC5 and EP3. It's the one to buy if you're looking for the best power-to-weight ratio in this generation of vehicles with mods.
