I am using my 702 with the USB connection right now. It’s a pain that it shuts off every time I shut the bike down. I will wire it directly to the battery eventually

Matt did a video recently where he put a switch to the battery for his Android device. The 603 has its own power button on the bars, so I wired it to the battery to avoid the annoying shutoff. - Frank

I wonder how well this holds up to extreme storms. I have purchased a few of the cheap ones off of amazon with IP65 waterproof rating and moister has gotten into those when having to leave them outside while at work. Considering this one because of the higher rating just don't wanna waste anymore money

Hello, I have been rained in... Hmm three times? I cannot say any were storms though, just rain. I am lazy and do not leave for rides in rain, so it's only been rained on when I was traveling and had no choice but to keep going! Thank you for stopping by and commenting! - Frank

Can you see if they will give you a better answer to the question - When will the 702 have cameras??? I baffles me why camera inputs are not on ALL their bike units. When I asked the question all they said was the 603 is the only one with cameras. My phone is the same size as the 603 so the screen does not make following maps any easier. Now I am split between a screen I can read the maps (702) and a unit with front and rear cameras (603). One of those strange and non-logical corporate decisions.

Hello, the benefit of the 603 screens for me, is that it's easier to see than my Samdung phone. I am surprised there is not 7XX class screen with cameras! Thank you for stopping by and commenting! - Frank

Is it dependent on cell service for the maps to function or does it have some GPS connection?

Hello Rob, Android Auto / Carplay devices use your Android or iPhone for the GPS. I actually like that as my phone can be tucked away in a pocket or tank bag. - Frank
