You need to get a slim Jim and try from outside or inside to get at the backside of the lock to unlock it - or get a locksmith - good luck and Cheers from Canada

Having door issues on my 99 Grand Marquis. Inside/outside handles "open" the door but it'll be stuck, pushing the door back in and pulling on the handle a few times seem to work sometimes but not always. Visual inspection of the door latches of the working and non-working door do not show any difference. Thanks for uploading this will check the things you've pointed out in here.

I have a 2003 Wrangler Sport TJ, and have a “no fuse” alert. I am having trouble locating the IOD fuse. Any idea where it is, specifically. I cannot find it.

You need to look closely at the inside part of the door look - or better yet remove the door lock for close inspection - maybe rust is jamming it up

You need to spray loads of WD40 towards the Latch from above and get a slim Jim / coat hanger and fiddle with the latch from inside as suggested in the video - good luck Quarth - Cheers from Canada!

This happened to me in 3/4 doors in my 2009 G37. Driver / passenger and rear passenger. Only way I get in is by the left rear door. Started to happen after winter season started

2:40 ​@carquestions because I don't know the part, it's that piece between those 3 big screw holes on the metal part, in that long hole you could slide your finger In. I've been sitting in my car since I replied with heat on (just for me) but the door finally closed. That lock/latch/actuator. Whatever it should be called has moved. Huzzah!!

I live in Australia I have a 2006 VZ Holden commodore i had the same problem took it to a locksmith he open it with in a minute I would try a locksmith first rather than destroy the door.

Hi whereabouts in Australia are you? we have the same problem with our 2004 VZ Holden and took it to a auto electrician which we were advised by a locksmith and was charged $1400 and only lasted 6 weeks and back to being unable to open again. Did you take your car to just a locksmith or someone specialising in auto locks? We would appreciate your input as we are unsure as to who to take our car to get this problem sorted.

In my door I think the only issue is the cable, because both handles are loose. Or it's something else and feck me then.

the latch lever on the lock mechanism is rusted likely - not the cables - use slim jim

@carquestions i meant the internal lock a d screw placement.y⁷ýI ended up breaking all the plastic plugs pieces and pushing a small thing screw diver down the lock to release the lock. Luckily I bought a bag of replacement plugs when I did the speakers like a month ago.
