Usually people like this song because it’s the end of the three song trilogy. “Last Name”, “Before he Cheats” and this one. The videos even have the same two actors involved in them. I would say “last name” and “before he cheats” both show off her vocals better than “two black Cadillacs”.

So, I think you should look into Miss Carly Pearce in the live video of Dear Miss Loretta at the Grand Ole Opry honoring Loretta Lynn’s passing. AMAZING STUFF! I’m not sure if you’ve done Loretta Lynn either, but her song Coal Miner’s Daughter is amazing and is mentioned in the Dear Miss Loretta song as well! Love your videos! Keep it going ✌🏼

I just watched that. It's a REALLY ambitious tune to cover. The original has so much brilliant stuff in it. One thing missing was the band harmony/vocal backing in the choruses. Another is the amazing guitar interplay between Slash and Izzy. Few people realize this, but Slash and Izzy almost always played the same song at the same time, in VERY different ways. It was like two different performances that just happened to be with the the same set of drums. Having said that, Carrie showed off some serious power, even if she couldn't match Rose's vocal complexity. But I'll bet you a dollar that today, she'd blow him off the stage side-by-side. Because Rose sounds like crap now. - Keith

This song is part of a trilogy. I have nothing against this song and particularly with Carrie, she’s a true talent. But, we live in weird times so I ask this question, why do we celebrate and never question songs containing violence towards men but yet if a male would sing about the same topic - two guys who plotted and killed a women - he’d be vilified and probably cancelled? “Goodbye Earl” by Dixie Chicks is another example. Personally, I think these are just songs and we all need to lighten up. Hip Hop has 1000x more violence, towards all, in lyrics than country & rock does. But, my question remains, is it okay to sing - to glorify - revenge murders against men but absolutely verboten when it comes to the same topic applied to women?
