Carrie! I been with my bf for 15 years. We are not legally married. Yes he asked years ago but we were both going through things and decided that wasn’t the right time. Right now we live together ( and have for years ) we make our own money. The condo is in my name. The house is in his. He rents his home and we both split the condo mortgage. We choose not to have kids. I have had surgeries tho so I can’t carry them anyways and I’m almost 40. So my time is up unless I want to adopt. We decided we are good. When I told him I want ready to marry he said that’s ok he will wait forever. He has lol. Our relationship is 100 times better than anyone we both know. We rarely argue. We get along so great. He is def my best friend. The only other person I know that is just as happy is my sis who married her highschool sweetheart and they chose not to have kids either. So live your life. Only you two know what’s best. Merry Xmas !

Also as someone who has an 3D history / works with clients who struggle with dis0rdered eating, if you do seek an RD please try to find someone who is HAES aligned & has worked with Ed clients! Dietitians (like any profession around health) can sometimes cause more harm, so finding someone who will not prescribe weight loss but instead focus on health promoting behaviors, is ideal ❤ wishing you the best on your goals for the upcoming year!

I did all my xmas shopping black friday weekend and it was a game changer, no stress leading up to the holiday. My sister met a man from England and it took literally 10 years for her to become a citizen and basically only because she was married to him.

Yes, people do NOT understand how difficult it is to move to another country! My husband is Aussie, we've been married over 20 years with 2 kids and I still don't have Aus. citizenship. I can only get it if I live there for 4 consecutive years.

I completely feel you on the marriage thing. It’s not a priority for us. We’ve been dating almost 6 years and we don’t want kids. Yes we want to get married. It’s fun like thinking about a potential wedding and stuff but there is simply no rush. We will get married eventually but I just have other things to focus on right now lol.
