Mikey it blows my mind on the things I find I’m in the trades as well some things actually take more effort to avoid doing it right like in the video the air plenum taping thing you can’t tell me that was easier to tape vs putting a self tapper or I would say he or she lost original screws and had none on their professionally stocked truck or van it’s all about the professionalism in our field the thing I have found in the trades most people want to be us but at best their that guy you know that guy we all know that guy he is the guy that under bids jobs and gets majority of the jobs but one to six months latter we come in and have to fix their jobs or their services that are at a novice level of ability at best I actually make my customers read and sign a waivers that states that if I find deficiencies they must be fixed repaired to bring the whatever is at or above codes cause I’ve gotten burned by not fixing other peoples garbage be safe mr Mikey big Jon out

Why are you replacing a single stage system with an infinity? Is that all you could get? I’ve had trouble getting comfort and performance systems due to new epa standards. Is that the case in NY too?

Why do you replace the entire air handler and not just the evaporator (A coil) and TXV if applicable. I only ask cause where I am from we use natural gas forced air furnaces with the evap coil on top in the air duct directly above and the regular practice is just the coil and back to the condenser. Just curious about this.

I got to thinking about it a bit more most of the places where your located run boiler systems and you need to have a separate air handler whereas in my location we run forced air systems that make it easier to run everything from the same air ducts the evaporator is mounted on top of our heating units and the fan runs for both AC and heating. (boilers are uncommon unless it’s a large building).

My friend in Fort Lauderdale had even worse install . The return was taking hot air from the attic no ductwork just a return grill in the ceiling 2 feet from the.air handler nothing connecting the 2
