1. Set aside the stress you experienced during the day before going to sleep 2. Have an energising / happy music playlist to play in the morning 3. Open the windows for fresh air and natural light in the morning 4. Have a glass of water on your nightstand 5. Have a night routine that makes you feel good 6. Wake up when your alarm goes off immediately 7. Have a consistent sleep schedule

I’m a bit late on this but I’m currently rewatching this series!!! I’ve been waking up at 5:30am for about a year now and it’s one of the best decisions I’ve made!! I love being awake when it feels like the rest of the world is asleep. Doing Morning Pages, reading, going outside, praying, meditating and working out, as well as getting a head start on my work before most people have even woken up, is the best feeling! I aim to get to bed every night by 9:30 or 10pm at the latest. During exam season I aim to stop working at 8:00pm which gives me time to have a bath, do some yin yoga, meditate, read and overall wind down before easily falling to sleep at 9:30! For the rest of the year I stop working at 7pm which gives me longer to wind down before bed! :)

I found your channel a few days ago when I was looking for videos related to waking up early. I’m not typically a morning person and being up super early seemed impossible to me. Your tips helped me SO much. I transitioned into waking up early super easily. Yesterday I woke up at 5 am, today I was able to get up at 4 am. Both mornings I only snoozed my alarm once. I took a melatonin at least an hour before I wanted to go to bed and got the full 8 hours of sleep. Which helps dramatically. It’s so peaceful in the morning and I’m able to start my day with the right mindset instead of feeling like I’m rushing to work. Yesterday I began crashing around noon - probably because I ate cheez-it’s and hash brown badness in the morning. Can you do a video on how to stay energized throughout the day? Or what has helped you on days when you’re dragging your feet? I don’t drink coffee but love tea, today I’m bringing some with to work to see if that helps the afternoon burnout but it’s also only my second day of being up early so I’m assuming I’ll have some body side affects lol.

i haven't been waking up at 530 because I don't get off work until 9 so that would be really difficult for me to unwind in time to get a full night's sleep. BUT you did inspire me to gradually change my bad habit of sleeping until 10. Now I've adjusted to waking up between 7-8 am. As a natural morning person (when I'm not working as a closer) this has helped me feel a lot better. My dog is happy too now because I use that extra time to take her on long walks while I listen to podcasts. Self-care in the morning is my new favorite thing and having something to look forward to has been really nice. Thanks for the inspiration! 💜💜💜🙏

Absolutely loving this series! I'm such a morning person, which is difficult because I work full time and am never off until 11:00 P.M. Ideally, I'd love to be up at 5:30 A.M. every day, but that's just not possible with this work schedule--however! Your videos have inspired me to be more in tune with my body's needs, and have found that I really only need 7 hours of sleep per night. Your tips have helped me get to sleep by 12:30 A.M. and can be up at 7:30 A.M. which is still fairly early. And now I can try these 7 habits to feel more energized! Thanks Carrie, you're the best!!

I drink a cup of herbal tea before I go to bed so I'm hydrated. I also sleep with water by the bed because sometimes, when I wake up in the morning, a bit of water is what I need to make me comfortable enough to go back to sleep again. I also drink water, about sixteen ounces worth, first thing in the morning. I usually go to sleep around 11pm and wake up around 7am. I haven't been using an alarm clock lately and my body is still waking up around 7 in the morning. This is related to your first tip, but I think it's important to make a point of not going to bed angry or frustrated. I've done this and it's not pleasant.

I have been trying to wake up at 5 for school in the past semesters. Now that the summer is almost over I am trying to go back to that schedule. Honestly, I did a horrible job of waking up at 5, so these videos are great tips. I am waking up earlier and earlier and have made it to 5:40. A couple more weeks and hopefully I'll reach my goals. Drinking water can help, but sometimes I wake up throughout the night to have to pee. Most of the time though, it helps me get out of bed right away by the intended time I want to wake up. So then by the time I am in the bathroom I am awake to start getting ready.

I've been trying to wake up 6:30 everyday (I kind of have to because I need to take my dog for a walk) and even I have a reason to wake up, sometimes I come back home late and I just don't want to wake up that early but I force myself to wake up and end up feel so tired and don't have energy at all. I start taking meditation to let go this stress and I feel better once but still sleepy. I don't know if you have this kind of day but if so how do you get over it? you're beautiful inside and out!
