I love all of your testing! While watching you, I wondered if you use a double sided score tape, and taped the back of the window dies to a piece of acetate, then remove or powder any adhesive still showing…. That could work. Then you could tape the acetate to the foiled card stock and store them that way for future use. If I ever need to do this, I’ll give it a try. Sorry so long. I was thinking and typing at the same time. lol

I am older and I find it very difficult to get the hotfoil plate off its base before I run it through my die machine. I have to use 2 hands and pull it kind of hard to get it off and many time that causes my foil to not adhear the paper right.

Hmmm, that's not good. I also use two hands to remove mine. I put my thumbs on top and pull back. I wonder if it would get easier over time or if your machine might be a little stiffer than some. I wish I was there to brainstorm how to make it easier. I can see how it would make the paper shift and then your image wouldn't foil nicely. If I ever think of something I will come back here and comment. I hope you can find something to make it easier for you. Thanks for watching and chatting with me too!

Love your videos!!! I accidentally put my foil down the wrong way and foiled the hot plate. Is the plate ruined at this point?

Thanks. No. It’s not ruined. Just prettier. 😁 I’ve done that. Practice with it see how it foils. But in my experience it works just fine. Thanks for watching.

BTW what color is the paper you are using?

I have some very old card stock that is jade colored for the background on card one. It’s retired from Stampin Up. The navy color is one that Spellbinders use to carry before they updated their cardstock. Trying to use up my stash before buying new. But the colored cardstock from Spellbinders is amazing! Great to hot-foil on and a heavy weight too.
