I definitely prefer this speedrun style over the one with 5h/half an hour + funny banter We've gotten lots of videos to watch here on YT😄

28:00 is indeed printing in the RnC pools. I even started check back most of my range and raising turn stabs. Even some bed regs go mental with air in that spot

Maybe one of the best starts to any Carrot Corner Video: 4 "trueEV" mentions. If you count the ones on the scoreboards than is 6 "trueEV" moments in the first 3 seconds of this video! it is a EVorgasm!

I do like the speedrun format not because of ADHD tiktok brain, but sometimes I think you get a little carried away just droning on about a position when the point has been made. So this format forces you to deliver the point and move on which is much more consumable. Love ya work Pete ❤

Yeah in the 75s hand we should think about what type of hands need to fold for this to be +ev. Villain would need to fold some 2pair in a simulation for that sizing. But i think they have really hard time folding especially rivered 2 pair. I mean it could be that they fold 100% of their range against all in but when u overbet 110% and their range is full of 1 pair hands that need to call. It could be higher ev

Hey Pete!!! In the JJ hand. Isnt the min open from ep standard since ep is going to be c/f alot of flops?

i prefer a raise at 23:00. like 40bb or jam even, V is pretty face up and you still lose to a lot of thin value

23:15 what do you think about raising in this spot?? Bet = hand strength from bad players no? I think call is ok as you beat some weird bets but feel like raise is printinggggggg here

at 4:51 You say that we should "re-open for a big size in theory" which seems intuitive to me. When the action is check-check to the river, ranges are wide, hands are weak showdown or complete air. Wouldn't opening for 1/3 allow us to bluff super cheap, value bet thin (like middle pair+), and put heaps of villains hands in a tough spot?

This is theory learned from solvers. Solvers don't use small sizing when betting river in position because the risk of a check-raise outweighs the gain. However solvers play perfectly and humans (a) don't check-raise the river enough and (b) don't correctly adjust their calling range to bet size. So betting small into a human is a profitable deviation from GTO.

i dont understand the raise in position with top set. there is plenty of combos that villain has that are not overpair when he goes for that sizing and we would like to let him catch up 29:55

I actually would go as far, as saying that raise is a blunder

@@ludwigengel4971 I don't like raise small-ish like was done, but going all in makes sense. You gotta count in the "scare card factor" if 6 comes, T comes, diamond comes, all of these cards could be scary for your opponent and kill the action in case villain is on the overpair. So the villain may prefer to get it in on the flop than later on. But sure, I can also see your point by letting villain to bluff.
@ludwigengel4971
@ludwigengel4971 29 күн бұрын
@@founik No i agree. but there is more cards that would allow villain to catch up. I actually ran it in a sim, and raise looses a substantial amount of ev. If we look at the entire range of villain. Really there is two scare cards 6/7 of diamond. Thats roughly 5 percent. VS any A/K/Q or diamond where he coudl turn axd into a bluff. I think that the raise is a blunder and after solving the hand and thinking it through with ev loss in mind, its even worse than I initally thought

9:50 fold is the obvious play. These guys are greedy and the Harry Potter on the turn is too nutted, especially from a SB flat.
