Thank you for posting these two womderful people. The producers of this film must have had knowledge of Spirit, as can be seen at the end of the film, where the two lovers appear in shadow form.

This is so beautifully sung by my favorite two people. Their love really shows. No two voices blended so gloriously.

This movie production plus the recording was of two most wonderful vocalists in a duet. Today we need duets performed as beautiful as this one with classical songs of our American History written by a very talented songwriter of his time.

Appreciate and enjoy the beauty of this finite clip. And there's no use getting nostalgic and anticipating another of the "classical songs of our American history..." for the United States are no longer [united], and there will never again be the authenticity of movies like this one from the 1930s. Today's Americans when they're not tearing down Confederate monuments and even destroying their own past, are seriously contemplating secession.

I remember being a child when this movie came out....just kidding. But really, this truly is some top-rate singing, back from a time when baritone music was sung by...actual baritones, and men of all voice types made use of real chest voice. I particularly like this example because he knows how to sing softly without sounding like disconnected cooing.
@EmilyGloeggler79843 жыл бұрын
He also knows how to emote realistically, which is something most do not learn to do.

I don't think it's a big deal... In the scene they're just singing a song they both love on the piano (and at home) (sorry if there's a mistake, English's not my first language)

Who cares? People of all colours and nations sing Wagner, Mozart, or Schubert… the music of white composers telling white people‘s stories… 😊
